Chapter 7 - Dreams

Liana's POV

My body thrummed with excitement, and my pulse raced in my ears. I had no idea what was on the other side of the door, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't excited.

In fact, excited couldn't even begin to describe how I felt right now. I might not have gotten the answers I wanted and was looking for, but maybe this door might solve all of my problems.

Not only would I find out everything I wanted to know about it, I would do it without his knowledge too.

"Okay Liana." My fingers grazed the door handle. The metal was cool against my palm and I found myself gripping on to it harder. "You got this. You got this. All you have to do is push open this door and…"

"Don't you dare!" Someone voice boomed behind me, causing me to halt in my tracks. My eyes widened, and I struggled to find an escape. There was no way I could escape even if I tried and even if I did escape, it would take Kieran absolutely nothing to find me again. Or maybe I could make a run for it.

I wasn't sure how far Kieran was, but I could tell he was really close. Maybe if I could find somewhere to hide….

"Stop!" Kieran's voice boomed again, much more closer this time. I froze in my spot, but I didn't miss his rough breathing fanning the back of my neck. Without warning, he pushed my hand from the door's knob, before slamming it shut and putting the lock in place again.

Time seemed to freeze to a halt as I waited for his next move. My senses were heightened, and the anticipation of what he would do next was killing me. A couple of minutes passed, and he still hadn't done anything, so I did the first thing that came to mind.

I ran.

I sidestepped him, pushing my weight behind me I had barely gotten a few steps away from him, before his hand wrapped around my wrist, causing me to come to a halt.

"You're not going anywhere" he snarled in my face. He was dangerously close, and I didn't miss the anger shining in his eyes. "You're coming with me. Now."

I parted my lips to protest, but before I could get any more words out, he yanked my arm forward, before pulling me out of the small enclosed space.

I tried to get out of his grip, but it was useless. Every attempt to stop myself from going with him fell through the roof without me even trying. I stumbled after him, and he didn't for once stop, neither did he turn to see if I was hurt or not.

"Hey!" I clawed at his wrist with my fingers. "Let me go."

He didn't. Instead, his grip on me tightened, as he pulled me out of the library and down another corridor that was nowhere near familiar.

"Where the hell are you taking me?" I hissed. "Kieran, let me go! Let me go right now!"

Kieran said nothing. In fact, the only indication I got that he was listening was a low grunt.

"Arent you listening? Let me….ouf!" The rest of my words translated into a loud yell, as Kieran shoved me back. A jolt of pain shot up my back, and that was all I needed to know that he'd slammed me into a wall.

"What the hell, Kieran?" I snarled. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"No, I ask the questions here." He came closer, not minding the fact that there was no space between us whatsoever. "and you will answer me. What the hell do you think you were doing over there?!'

I paled. Suddenly, my mouth ran dry and I couldn't find the words.

"Are you suddenly quiet now?" He wasn't having it. "What happened to the fire that was blazing a couple of minutes ago?"

"Look, I don't know who the hell you think you are." Jr continued. His tone had dropped into an icy whisper, and it sent shivers down my spine. "But I hate snoopers, and do you know the best part, I enjoy punishing little girls who feel they can sneak around my property."

I gulped. My heart hammered in my chest. I knew I should be scared because he was dead serious, but I couldn't bring myself to feel afraid. If anything, my stomach churned, and I didn't miss the way my body reacted to his words, his touch, even if it was barely next to me.

He was mad, but it was turning me on. Badly.

I tried to break free. Perhaps the reason I was feeling that way, was because I was too close to him. I made to slip away from him grip, but Kieran wasn't having it. His grip on my arm tightened, as he came even closer.

I gasped, as his fingers skimmed down my sides, in slow and featherlight strokes. It could have easily passed as a mistake, but I knew better.

Kieran's proximity forced me to stare at his face, and I gazed at how beautiful his eyes were. They bored into mine, searching and peeling every inch of me free. I couldn't even….

"Oh my." Someone exclaimed out of the blue, pulling us out of our haze. We broke apart immediately just to see a maid walking towards us with some cleaning equipment. "I'm so sorry. I had no idea you were here. I only wanted to clean the kitchen."

A quick scan of my surroundings showed that we were near the kitchen, and I couldn't help the heat that raced up my neck.

Before she could come up with something or I could embarrass myself any further, I slipped past Kieran, and ran as fast as my legs could carry me.

I wasn't fully aware of the palace, but I didn't stop until I was in my room. My body and my bones screamed in exhaustion, and I decided there was no need to fight it. The last thing I remembered, was darkness encompassing me the moment my head hit the pillow.

**************

A moan hit my ears, causing me to stir awake. Fingers skimmed along the valley in between my breasts, before swirling around my lower belly. It took the next moan for me to realize that the sound had in fact come from me.

I raised my head slowly, and I was just about to sit up, when someone interrupted.

"No,no." His voice was soft and it sent goosebumps down my arm. "Just relax baby. Relax."

His mouth latched onto my center before I could protest, and I let out a groan. His tongue lapped at my insides, and his nose teased my entrance. I writhed in pure pleasure, but Kieran's strong hands were more than enough to keep my grounded.

"Do you like that baby?" I felt every rumble through my skin. "Tell me you like that."

"I do." My voice came out as a squeak. I had no idea what was going on, but I'd be damned if I let anything interrupt it. "yes, just …"

Every bit of Kieran's warmth disappeared immediately, and I jerked up faster than lightning would strike a place.

"Why?" I stuttered. "Why did you stop?"

"I had no idea if you wanted me to continue." He smirked and I groaned. In a flash, his playful attitude dropped, just to be replaced by something else. Something raw and dangerous. "Tell me Liana, do you want me to go further?"

"Yes." My voice was nothing short of a whisper. I was on fire, and the mere thought of whatever Kieran had planned wasn't helping at all.

"Show me how much you want it."

I moaned out loud. Kieran was a dirty talker and he knew just how much his words were affecting me. I moaned again, whilst nodding my head in agreement.

My head bopped up and downn, until suddenly my eyes flew open.

"What the..?" I was back to my room in an instant, with Kieran nowhere near the foot of my bed. My mind raced, and it still didn't make any sense.

Wasn't Kieran just on his knees and about to devour me?

I had barely registered the question in my mind, before my gaze darted to my side. Just by the edge of my bed, the last person I expect to see sat, a huge grin on his face.

Oh no, what the hell just happened ?
