Kieran's POV
My fingers grazed the slightly sharp tips of the blades of grass in the field, and if I was being honest, it felt amazing.
Soothing even. It felt like the best thing to take my mind off the many thoughts that threatened to drive me to Insanity. No matter how hard I tried to get rid of them, they always came back, harder than the last.
I was fucked.
Literally.
I heaved out loud, and I watched my breath dance in front of me for a couple of seconds, before disappearing into thin air. It would be cold soon, and even though I didn't bring a jacket, I wouldn't say I was particularly bothered about it.
I was sure that if I thought too hard or pressured myself too much, my head would literally catch fire, and that would repel every ounce of cold in the air.
