At that moment a slow, bitter smile pulled at Valentina's lips.

She leaned forward slightly, her gaze piercing. "Then explain to me how the total jumped from $60,000 to $1,000,000."
Immediately the tension in the room thickened. The game they were playing was about to backfired on them.
Then the waiter let out an exaggerated sigh, flipping the menu open and turning it toward the staff.
"This is the menu we've always used. Isn't this the same one I handed out to everyone?"
At that moment a few of the employees nodded hesitantly. Hudson and Camille exchanged glances, their expressions unreadable.
Then they also nodded.
Valentina's secretary looked at the menu and slowly nodded.
"Yes, Director, this is the same menu we saw."
Whispers stirred among the staff. Why was Valentina insisting otherwise?
