Chapter 96 - Ch-96

Palace Gate Stadium Audience Seats

"It seems that a war has broken out."

"Yes, the situation looks quite serious. Once the war starts, ordinary people will be hurt."

"I hope there won't be any fighting. It's best to keep things simple."

The audience wished for peace.

But the war broke out.

The most pitiful victims were the ordinary residents.

Outside the City

Lucario was still using its waveguide for reconnaissance when suddenly a rainbow light flashed across the sky. The legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh gracefully soared through the blue sky before disappearing.

Lucario was momentarily stunned but quickly refocused as three Houndooms appeared, growling menacingly.

Houndoom, the Dark Pokémon.

Type: Fire/Dark.

Houndoom, with its large, backward-bending horns, often serves as the leader of its pack. It battles with its companions to establish dominance and shares prey among its group.

When enraged, the flames it spits from its mouth are mixed with toxins, producing a pungent smell and inflicting severe pain on its victims. Burns caused by these flames are known to cause unending agony.

Its most terrifying feature is its howl, which is said to be so fearsome that Pokémon tremble and flee to their nests.

In the past, its howl was thought to be the call of the god of death, earning it the title of the messenger from hell.

The three Houndooms charged toward Lucario, unleashing fiery Flamethrowers.

Lucario swiftly leaped into the air, dodging the attack. A light blue energy began to gather in its palm—Aura Sphere!

Three blue Aura Spheres homed in on their targets, guided by Lucario's waveguide. Fighting-type moves are highly effective against Dark-types, and in an instant, the three Houndooms were defeated, losing their combat ability.

Audience Reactions

"What a strong Lucario!"

"Taking on three Houndooms at once? That's incredible!"

"And this is just a scout?!"

"A scout this strong? How powerful is the main force?"

The Scene Continued

After dispatching the Houndooms, Lucario moved stealthily, avoiding enemy reconnaissance. Finally, it reached the ancient hero, Aaron.

When Aaron appeared, the audience was amazed.

Lucario urgently described the danger threatening the royal city and pleaded with Aaron to take action.

Aaron simply replied:

"Lucario, you should leave as soon as possible. I have given up on the royal city. I will never go back."

"What? Lord Aaron, what are you saying?"

Lucario was stunned by Aaron's unexpected words.

Before it could respond, Aaron turned around, threw the scepter, and used it to imprison Lucario. With a resolute expression, Aaron set off toward the Earl Dervish Tree, prepared to confront the thousands of monsters that threatened the land.

The Battle of the Monster Armies

The two monster armies clashed violently, shaking the valley. Just when it seemed they would fight to the death, a miracle occurred.

The entire valley was bathed in green light. Countless green particles of light merged into every Pokémon, calming their violent natures and restoring peace.

Under Aaron's guidance, the war was averted. The monsters dispersed, and peace returned to the land. Aaron became celebrated as the Brave Hero of Bo Dao.

"It's amazing. He actually stopped the war," said one guest.

"Although I don't know how he did it, the outcome is wonderful. Peace has been restored, and Aaron truly deserves to be called a hero," Steven Stone commented.

Cynthia smiled, nodding in agreement.

Queen Ilene's Reflection

In the library of Orudran Castle, Queen Ilene held the ancient scepter that once belonged to Aaron.

"This scepter was used to imprison Lucario a thousand years ago. But why did Aaron do it? And why has Lucario remained in slumber all this time? Could it be waiting for a new wave hero?"

Her thoughts raced.

Sinnoh Region – Iron Island

"I didn't expect this story to involve our ancestors," said Riley, a descendant of the wave hero Aaron and a Steel-type Pokémon expert.

Currently, only Riley and Ash are known to control the waveguide. What connects them remains a mystery.

Modern Orudran City

Ash and his friends received an invitation to Orudran Castle for the annual Pokémon Battle Festival commemorating Aaron.

During the festival, Ash defeated powerful opponents, including Breloom and Weavile, emerging victorious. Queen Ilene personally handed Ash the Brave Scepter, declaring him the wave hero of the year.

The celebration was lively, with music and dancing filling the castle.

The Awakening of Lucario

Amid the festivities, the Brave Scepter in Ash's hand suddenly emitted a brilliant light. The sapphire at its center transformed into a blue energy, and before everyone's eyes, Lucario appeared, freed from its thousand-year slumber.

Lucario quickly scanned its surroundings using waveguide energy. When it detected Ash, it was stunned.

"The same waveguide… You are Lord Aaron!"

Lucario recognized Ash's immense waveguide energy, akin to Aaron's.

The audience around the world was shocked.

"What? The same waveguide? Could it be…?"

Originally, the festival was to commemorate the wave hero, but no one expected the real wave hero to appear!

PS: Some believe Ash's Lucario is the reincarnation of Aaron's partner, bound by the Tree of Life. What do you think?
