Have you ever thought about something and felt like damn I'm a genius. Hahahahaha. Well that's exactly what Jae Won was feeling right now. As he gasped at the thought of Charles liking Cyril, his best friend, he felt they had something in common. At least he has gotten a friend who is like him.
Jae Won was smiling foolishly at the thought of it made it obvious even Charles noticed. "What got you smiling like that?" Charles asked curiously staring at Jae Won's flushed face.
"Nothing, just thought about something funny when I saw you two together" Jae Won said as he wasn't sure if Charles would open up to him about him being into men. They walked past the receptionist who smiled brightly at Jae Won as he didn't also hesitate in greeting her.
He remembered her as she was the one whom he and Vincent asked about Charles the other time. Charles wanted to wanted to get away quickly but who was he kidding. Who would want to pass the opportunity not to talk to a handsome man.
The cute nurse swiftly approached Jae Won stopping him mid way "hey handsome, what are you doing here?" She asked almost pulling him along to her seat but before she could act on it she was stopped with bloodshot eyes shooting her way.
She could the feel the stare bore in her skin and reluctantly let go off Jae Won before hell freeze over. "Okay, my bad. He is all yours" she said moving back to her seat and not sparing any chances as she winked at him. They entered the elevator and got off at the second floor.
They entered his office and the cool breeze from the air conditioner welcome them. "I didn't actually look around your office the last time I was here" Jae Won said as he comfortably lied on the plush couch. "It feels so good" making Charles smiled wildly.
Jae Won thought of teasing Charles a bit by asking him of a girlfriend but Charles flushed face of unexpectedly being asked such a question from his crush drew on his face.
"Hahahahahaha you should see your face in the mirror" Jae Won said as he rose from the bed and flailing his legs in the air. Charles started laughing as he was watching Jae Won. "What are we gonna do?" Jae Won asked since he doesn't see any fun thing to do at the moment.
Charles got thinking about what he could possibly do with Jae Won and not making bored out of his mind. Initially, if he comes early before his shift, he just sat down and looked through patient files and sometimes do a little research about things unfamiliar to him but not today. He had a guest and a special one.
Thirty minutes later, a man with a hoarse voice screamed at the two, Charles and Jae Won scaring the fuck out of them "hey hey, what are you two doing with the hospital cart outside and in the supply closet? Jae Won turned and looked at Charles as he did the same. "What do you think I need a hospital cart for" Charles asked with a confident smile and a sterned voice.
"And why would I know what you are doing with the cart?" the man asked. "I'm a doctor and obviously I need a cart" but the face he saw on the man shows I don't fucking believe you.
"Your identification to prove you are a doctor" the man asked pointing his hand towards Charles gesturing he sees the identification now. Charles who forgot to take his identification along so as his white coat to prove his identity winked at Jae Won and he understood it perfectly well.
In a blink of an eye, they run out of supply closet locking the man in there "hey hey let me out" all his shout was in vain as they were long gone laughing uncontrollably at what they have just done.
And why were they almost chased? Let's go back to thirty minutes back.
On other hand, while Charles got thinking about something fun to do with his crush, Jae Won who saw an old magazine on the coffee table, started flipping through and something got his attention. A man was sitting in a wheelchair as a result of an accident but an idea popped up in his mind, his eyes sparked with mischief.
Charles who still couldn't get any idea decides to take a look at Jae Won only to be met with such a sparkled eyes "I don't like this face of yours. It begs for trouble" he said.
"I have gotten an idea, how abo…" he couldn't finished his sentence when he was cut off by Charles sudden interruptions "oh oh why am I getting the feeling this is gonna land me in trouble" he said.
"Why don't let me help you steal a hospital cart and have a wheelchair so we can have a race down the hall" he said smiling so happily as if he had won Ghana most handsome.
Charles who was stunned by Jae Won's idea of fun raised an eyebrow and asked "all what you are saying is I should help you steal a hospital cart and have a wheelchair so we could race down the hall?" in an unbelievable tone.
Jae Won who thought his idea was so perfect nodded enthusiastically "it's gonna be a blast, trust me. Oh let's make it a competition….. loser buys lunch" he said waiting eagerly to hear Charles response.
Charles chuckled "but I'm a doctor. I'm supposed to be responsible for myself and also my patients" he said as he shook his head in disagreement.
Jae Won winked at Charles "we are all children by hearts. That's why you need me to bring your inner rebel out of you. You look so stiff" he said shifting his gaze from Charles.
"But bu…." and yet again he was cut off by Jae Won. "No but but, at least you are gonna make your patient have fun and brighten their mood as they have been stuck in this stuffy room for long" he said getting Charles to think it through.
"Fine, okay let's do that" Charles said "but if we get caught…I'm gonna blame you" he continued.
"Of course, no need to worry. I'm perfectly sure we are not gonna get caught and besides how are you gonna blame me?" Jae Won said as he slyly smiled at him but Charles didn't get his intention.
How is Jae Won gonna take responsibility as he is not a worker at this hospital. He thought if things get heated after they are caught he is going to sneak out and call Vincent who is probably waiting for a text from him.
"Okay, that's the spirit, let's go find our cart and get ready to roll" Jae Won said enthusiastically grinning from ear to ear.
It looks like Jae Won mischievousness is out in the open and our doctor is stuck with him for a whole day. Just the thought of stealing a cart with a doctor felt like he was in a thriller movie and his iconic blockbuster scene of stealing a cart and be in a competition making him have goosebumps all over his body.
"You are so happy" Charles asked but in him he was dying out of excitement and also out of fear. What if they got caught, what is he going to do? He is a doctor for Christ sake. But at the same time there is this joy to do something you have never done.
They both snuck out of Charles's office trying to appear carefree and calm but their faces were saying otherwise as mischievous grins were written all over their faces.
They made their way down the hallway as they passed by the nurse's stations and also the hospital rooms with patients lying on their bed with sadness in their eyes.
They turned at the corner of the hallway, Charles nodded toward a supply closet "it's usually parked outside that closet. Let's go"
Charles's eyes searched around ensuring they were alone "you are really gonna get me into trouble" he said.
Jae Won chuckled "Will you stop whining and follow your heart, that's what friends are for" Charles felt a sharp pain in his chest as he was clearly seen as a friend in Jae Won's heart but ignored it for now.
They walked slowly like a thief and they sure are now, as they got close to the supply closet, they couldn't find it "where is it? It's usually outside this supply closet.
Jae Won entered in the closet but Charles smiled as his laughter echoed in the hallway "shhhh do you want us to get caught?" Jae Won said but Charles replied "how is it gonna fit in there?" He asked as he smiled towards Jae Won's behavior. Jae Won was still inside while Charles looked around and pushed it towards the closet.
"I've found it, come on let's go" Charles waited for a while but there was no response. He opened the closet and found Jae Won staring at the one of the supplies. "Come on let's go, we have a competition" he said but a voice crept up to them
"Hey hey, what are you two...…"
That's what got them into such situation. But that didn't faze them at all as they had fun especially for Charles.
