The director and Jae Won went to the cinema to watch a movie and after went to have fun at a game house. They played volleyball, basketball and so many forgetting the time is running fast. The director was supposed to go for a board meeting at six in the evening but it has totally slipped his mind.
His personal Assistant had been calling nonstop and texting but no reply. He had to take the last straw of help and that is to track his phone.
The director had a tendency to forget appointments even though his PA always reminds him. He went ahead and set reminders and even alarm just to help his work easy but the director keeps complaining it made a lot of noise.
To make his work easier, he installed a tracker on his phone when he was in a meeting one day. This was done just in case something like this happened and truly it has.
The director's personal Assistant tracked his phone and went straight in full speed. He had to because it's almost thirty minutes till the meeting.
In a few minutes the PA has arrived searching through the crowded people at the Game Center. He noticed the white man standing beside a man whose back was facing him and he knew it was him.
He went ahead not glancing at anyone he had mistakenly push and only saying sorry through the crowd. With the director's face drawn with confusion as he raise his head to shoot only to find his PA in front of him.
"What the hell are you doing? Do you want to get hurt?" He asked while he pushed him out of his way. "Can't you let an old man have a little fun" he said as he gaze at his target zone.
"Boss, it's almost time for the board meeting" he said with a squint face as if he had eaten a bitter fruit. "Shit, you made me lose" said by the director who lost his focus because of the board meeting. He didn't want to attend in the first place but he had to.
He heaved a sigh as he check the time on his wrist watch. "Okay son, it's time for us to go. Though I don't want to but I have to" he said as he straightened his pants and walked through the crowd.
"I think it's time I retire early and get more time for my family" he said as he turned to look at Jae Won with a bright smile "thank you for making me realize what I've been missing with my kids" he said as he hugged Jae Won tightly for a few seconds before letting him go.
The director had been busy from his youth till now and barely got time for his family. The number of times he had taken his kids out is countable. "Now I will have to think about early retirement so I could have more time with my family" he said. "Oh, okay….. that's a good idea. Use this time to appreciate them more, they are gonna love it" Jae Won said as he smiled brightly at the director.
"See you next time you come around" said by the director as he went to sat in his car looking at Jae Won "what are you waiting for? Come on let's go" Jae Won hurriedly run to the car.
Honestly he thought they were leaving him behind because of the way he was acting and talking as if he was saying his goodbyes.
In a few minutes they were back at the hospital and his PA assisted Jae Won by taking him to Charles's office "you can wait here till he comes back from his rounds. Jae Won nodded as he took out his phone thinking Vincent had already texted him and might not have seen it since he was out enjoying himself but that was his wishful thinking.
After a few minutes, Charles came back exhausted from his rounds and consultation. He opened the door only to be met with Jae Won who was dozing off on the couch. "Have you eaten dinner and you are already sleepy?" He asked as he placed a patient file on his desk and walked towards Jae Won.
"No, i haven't, I will do that when i get home" he replied. Charles's faces changed immediately like a chameleon. He couldn't spend much time with him though that little time he had with him was the most precious of it all. He wanted to have the whole day with him but his work prevented him of that.
So he had to find other ways to do that and that should be his off days. "I want to invite you out on one of my off days. You alone…. what do you think?" Charles asked looking nervous and afraid Jae Won is going to decline.
"Sure, why not. Out with you is fun" he said making Charles fair colored skin turn red all of a sudden. His ears as red as an overripe tomato and his cheeks "what's with your face?" Jae Won asked as he saw Charles's face changed colors one by one.
"Uurm, let me text Vincent to come pick you up. I can't leave during my shift so" he said as Jae Won nodded in agreement. With just a few clicks from his phone, he turned to look at Jae Won exhausted face "he is coming. You look so tired" he said.

As Jae Won and Charles were having fun of their lives, Vincent was on edge worrying he might have said something to jeopardize his relationship with Jae Won.
After Jae Won left, his body was on fire as his mind thought of worst-case scenario "hell no, Not that" he said it out after a thought came to his mind with his anxiety growing like like a baby growing in a womb. "You scared me" Akwasi said as he was sitting on the couch fiddling with his phone.
He kept fidgeting and his hands shaking like a stroke patient as he checked on his phone for a hundredth time i must say hoping Jae Won will text him at least. "Will you stop that, you making me nervous" Akwasi said as he shook his head. "He will come back, it's not like he has gone for a war".
He didn't pay attention to the bird at his back. He entered the kitchen searching for a distraction from the feeling that was eating him up like a parasite. But even the kitchen and the whole place seems to remind him of Jae Won, the person he might have hurt with words and the possibility that they might never speak again.
"I'm going to have some sleep. I barely slept yesterday" Akwasi said as he climbed up the stairs. Jae Won kept pacing till he fell asleep on the couch.
It's almost 6pm in the evening and Akwasi had woken up and watch some movies on his phone. He came down to meet the rest of the family who were busy preparing for dinner. He looked around but couldn't find Vincent. He went towards Claudia who was writing something down from his phone.
"Have you seen Vincent?" Akwasi asked now seriously concern about Vincent odd behavior. "He has gone to the back of the mansion. He said he wanted some quietness" Claudia replied.
Akwasi walked back to the mansion only to find Vincent looking so worried. He watched him as he took a deep breath trying to calm himself down. "You do realize you are behaving like a man whose girl has left him because of a fight".
Surprised by Akwasi's words "What do you mean, I'm just worried about him" he said back at Akwasi.
"You don't have to be this nervous because he is with your friend" he said as he went to stand beside Vincent. But Vincent heart continued to race at the thought of Jae Won being hurt by what he said. His mind filled with regret and uncertainty as he replayed the scene over and over again, wondering what he could have done differently to not have made the matter worse. He heaved a huge sign as he couldn't have thought any thing differently.
"Oh come on, he will come back and you guys will settle everything like nothing happened" Akwasi said as he thought Vincent was overreacting.
As the time stretched on, he felt like he was being stuck in a nightmare which seems to be not ending any moment now. He felt like he was unable to wake up or escape the crushing weight of his own fears and doubt "why am I feeling this way" he blurted out without thoughts.
Akwasi turned and looked at him with are you asking me or telling me look on his face. "I'm gonna think this is a rhetorical question" he said as he went back to his chatting with his mystery lover.
"See, I don't know why you are acting this way but all I know that, If someone acts this way then they are prob…."
Chime
That's the notification sound of Vincent's phone. He quickly tap on it as it was from Charles. His face brighten as he finished reading the message
"Charles asked me to pick up Jae Won" he said to Akwasi.
