It's been more than two months since Vincent met Jae Won and it has been the most wonderful days for Vincent so as Jae Won. Jae Won had always been drawn to Vincent since the day they met and Vincent too had been drawn to Jae Won especially that beautiful smile and infectious laughter of his.
As they spent more time with each other, Jae Won found himself developing feelings for Vincent which went beyond friendship and he knew that. But why was he hesitant to express himself to Vincent? That's because he was unsure if Vincent liked or felt the same way as him.
Vincent on the other hand, had grown to cherish Jae Won's company and loves how he could spend more time with him especially how he makes him laugh uncontrollably and the most important thing is how they could talk about anything at anywhere. But he hadn't considered his feelings for Jae Won as romantic - at least not yet.
When Vincent invited Jae Won for a horse ride, excited by the thought of spending more time with him alone, Jae Won almost accepted it without much thought. He was so happy but had to pull Vincent's leg for a while that is why he said no just to get a little laugh from Vincent's reactions and it actually paid off.
Vincent facial expression after Jae Won said no was priceless. I could not found the appropriate words to describe his feelings and his reactions towards Jae Won's answer.
After he got the reaction he wanted from Vincent he finally agreed making Vincent sighed a huge relief as if he was carrying the burden of the earth. "Yes!!!" He shouted on top of his voice scaring those who were not asleep.
"Okay, let's have some sleep so we can have an amazing day tomorrow" he said as he quickly entered the shower to have his stress drain from him for the past few days. Jae Won was fast asleep when Vincent returned from the showers. He chuckled as he shook his head and went to lie beside Jae Won.
The morning sun permeated through the mansion brightening over the smooth face of Jae Won as he turned and turned for a perfect position to sleep in. Vincent came back from downstairs and couldn't help but laught at the sight of Jae Won who always sleep first and wakes up late.
He tried to wake Jae Won up but it was useless and decided to wait for him till he wakes up by himself which he usually do when it's 9am.
After a few minutes, Jae Won jolted up from his sleep as if he was in a hellish nightmare and had to wake up to save himself but he only woke up when he remembered he had a horse ride date with Vincent.
He quickly rose up from the bed and entered to take his shower in a few minutes and went down for his breakfast. "You look nice in the riding shirts I bought for you" Vincent said as he sat on the couch reading a newspaper after he saw Jae Won run down the stairs but he was ignored.
"Where are you in a hurry to?" Vincent asked noticing the rush Jae Won came down with.
Vincent was ignored as he rushed to the kitchen to have his breakfast as usual. Everybody has left for their respective responsibilities.
"I'm….mmmmm what…timmmm…" Jae Won tried to say something but was interrupted "you should swallow before you talk" Vincent said as he smiled at him.
"What time are we going?" Jae Won asked still munching on his food. "After you are ready" Vincent answered as he turned back to the newspaper he was reading.
In a few minutes Jae Won appeared right in front of Vincent "I'm done" he said, excitement in his voice.
Vincent stood up from the couch and held Jae Won's hand tightly as he walked through the back door in the living room.
They walked like a few meters away from the mansion down the the beautiful trees. Jae Won who thought they were going for a horse ride couldn't help but ask "where are we going?" with curiosity in his voice.
Vincent turned to look at him, a smirk around the corner of his lips as he answered "to the place we scheduled to go". Jae Won kept quiet for a while with the thought 'did he hear what I asked?'. He thought Vincent would take his car so they could drive to a nearby stables but here they were walking through the beautiful trees down the mansion and it would probably be scary if it was at night.
He couldn't take it any longer as he protested "aren't we going to a stable to ride a horse? So why are we…..holy shit" he swore at his last words when he turned to see a beautiful stable up ahead of him.
Curious as he was, he run as fast as he could leaving behind Vincent as he finally caught up to Jae Won taking in the beautiful horses at the stables with a lot of people gathered there so as the workers.
"What in the name is this?" Jae Won asked but didn't wait to be answered "I never knew there is a stable down the mansion. Wow, the horses are so beautiful. Why didn't you tell me there was such a place here?" He asked not leaving space to be answered.
Vincent laugh out loud as the expression on Jae Won's face was so priceless and feared someone might see this cuteness on this part of Jae Won.
"Ask one question at a time" Vincent said as he place his arm around Jae Won's neck. "Don't tell me you guys own this place too" he said staring at the magnificent horse that was tend by three workers. "Oh wow, this horse is huge" he said.
"Yeah, she is. And yes we own this stables as we used the horse for competition and also people hired them for their own thing. But we make sure they are not for something bad and the most important thing is, we have a license for it so" he finally stopped talking as Jae Won's attention was clearly on that horse.
As he turned to look at Jae Won expression was like a kid who had been introduced to a candy for the first time. He shook his head and held Jae Won's hand down to the beautiful horse as Jae Won couldn't keep his eyes off of her.
Vincent led Jae Won to the beautiful chestnut mare while Jae Won kept staring at the horse "isn't she a beauty?" Vincent asked Jae Won immediately nodded in agreement "her name is Abena and she is also gentle and easy to ride especially for a beginner".
"Oh" he said but his eyes widened as he approached the horse. Jae Won went a little closer to the horse to try and pet the horse. Vincent too followed his lead, his hand brushed against Jae Won's as they petted the horse together.
The moment their hand touched, it sent a shiver down Jae Won's spine but Vincent didn't pull away. Instead Vincent allowed Jae Won's hand linger while he enjoyed the warmth and the connection between them "do you wanna ride with me?" Vincent asked.
Jae Won's eyes widened once again but he frowned making Vincent heart jumped out of nervousness "what is it? You don't want to ride with me?" Vincent asked, his voice as low as a gentle rumble of a thunder.
"No, it's just that I've never ridden a horse before" he admitted feeling a bit nervous. "Don't worry, I am the best teacher you could get. I will teach you" Vincent said after he chuckled "it's easy".
As Vincent helped Jae Won onto the magnificent horse their body touched again which send an electric spark through Jae Won. His shifted his mind on Vincent's instruction as he tried to brushed it off.
Jae Won struggled to balance himself as they set off. Abena sense the nervousness of Jae Won and began to prance which made Jae Won felt like he was going to fall of the horse with his heart racing.
"Uuurm, Vince, I'm scared" Jae Won said as his body began to tremble. Vincent on the other hand, being called Vince once again froze, his heart racing but was pulled out of his trance when Jae Won called him twice.
Vincent laughed as he rode up beside him "Jae, easy" he said as he reached out to steady Jae Won "just relax and let Abena do her work".
As Vincent's hand touched Jae Won's, Jae Won felt a rush of emotions as he couldn't help but wonder if Vincent feels the same way as him.
With the help of Vincent, Jae Won slowly began to relax while he enjoyed the ride and the beautiful scenery ahead of him "wow, how rich are you guys?".
Vincent laughed as he remembered this was the same question Jae Won had asked when he was brought to the mansion. "How many times do you want to ask, we are comfortable" he answered.
As they rode side by side, Jae Won stole glances at Vincent while he admired the way the sunlight shone brightly on his hair. Vincent sensed Jae Won's gaze "am I that handsome?" He said as he turned to Jae Won with a smile but Jae Won immediately shifted his gaze up front.
"Uurm, of course" he said 'is he flirting with me' Jae Won thought as his lips curved with a smile and turned to look at Vincent "you are a natural. Are you sure you've never ridden a horse before?" Vincent asked his eyes crinkled at the corner.
"Yeah, definitely" Jae Won answered but his heart skipped a beat. 'Maybe, just maybe, this was the start of something special' Jae Won thought with smiles all over his face.
"Do you realize I have a week before I go back to school" he said while Jae Won's face turned sour.
