The moment Letty's name flashed on my screen, I hesitated.
I knew that if I answered, she would take one look at my face and know.
But I was too exhausted to lie.
With a deep breath, I swiped to accept the call, forcing a small, brittle smile as her face filled my screen.
She barely let me say hello before her expression twisted in concern.
"Lily… What happened?"
Her steady, warm and familiar voice touched me. The dam I had tried so hard to hold together cracked, then burst open.
I told her everything.
The weight of Mily's confession, the cold betrayal Calvin had kept hidden from me, the way my entire world had shifted beneath my feet in a matter of hours. I laid it all out, my voice raw and broken, as if saying it out loud would make it hurt less.
By the time I finished, Letty was gripping her phone so tightly her knuckles had gone white.
"I'm coming back."
I blinked. "What?"
"I don't care how far I am. I'm booking the next flight. You shouldn't be alone right now."
