The air in the cubicle degenerated into a freezing atmosphere as the group turned to Winhest—This was unlike him.
"It doesn't make sense," Winhest began, his voice laced with cryptice undertones and riddles that tainted the ears of many.
The others, although curious, remained silent with devilish smiles and narrowed gazes.
"Tell me," Winehst finally spoke. "What would you say if someone awakens a Shard from Pile 1?"
"TRASH!"
"Maggot."
"A Waste of space in this world"
"A waste of good oxygen in the world."
"Worse than shit!"
The responses came swiftly, each utterance dripping with contempt and disgust.
What the hell? Was all this because of a Pile-1 trash?
"Yes," Winhest chuckled lightly, raising his head in amusement. " I think so too. One hundred percent Trash. However…"
He paused, his eagle-like gaze focusing on a silhouette within the crowd that should have been impossible to spot from their towering cubicle.
