Chapter 107 - Warhammer: Lord of the Endless Monster Horde [107]

In the vast emptiness of the universe, a Tyranid Hive Fleet was launching a massive assault on a human Forge World—one long forgotten by the Imperium.

Half a month ago, the planet fell under invasion by the Tyranids. The planet's psykers desperately transmitted distress signals like madmen, but the shadow of the Warp rendered their cries for help utterly futile.

The entire planet was plunged into despair, left to fend off the Tyranid onslaught alone. The planetary governor planned to escape aboard his private ship, but as soon as he took off, it was immediately shot down by the Tyranid fleet.

In the planet's orbit, the wreckage of countless Imperial warships drifted into space—the primary defense force of this Forge World had been utterly annihilated.

More than a dozen Hive Ships had already descended upon the planet, extending massive tendrils that connected to its surface.

An uncountable number of Tyranid organisms were deployed below, beginning the extraction of the planet's biomass. The ordinary human population had already been slaughtered to the last. Once the Tyranid Hive Mind fully conquered the planet, it would be transformed—completely Tyrannoformed.

Aside from Tyranid lifeforms, all other creatures and vegetation would be completely eradicated.

Soon, all of the planet's biomass would be consumed, and the Hive Ships would produce even more fleets to move on to the next world—the next feeding ground.

Just then, four small black dots suddenly appeared in the void of space. To the massive Tyranid fleet, these four dots were minuscule.

Only when they closed into roughly half an astronomical unit did the Tyranid fleet finally detect them.

The Hive Mind immediately issued an order to all Tyranid bioships: Retreat at once.

But it was already too late.

A rainbow-hued beam of energy shot out from the cosmic void. The moment it made contact, several Tyranid Hive Ships were instantly obliterated into dust.

Immediately after, a colossal golden Pendanium Beam strike followed, triggering explosions in the void of space—dozens of Tyranid bioships were blown apart on the spot.

Next came a deep blue energy beam, which tore a gaping hole through the densely packed Tyranid fleet, exposing part of a Hive Ship within.

Three figures emerged in the Tyranid fleet's sights—one golden robot, one silver-red robot, and one silver-white robot.

They were the Monster junglers sent by Rhodes.

A large number of Tyranid bioships quickly swarmed in, sealing the breach that had just been blasted open. The Hive Ships on the planet's surface hastily retracted their tendrils as if in a panic.

At that moment, a massive black bird streaked through space at astonishing speed, hurtling toward the densely packed Tyranid bioships.

Compared to the massive Tyranid organisms, the bird seemed insignificant.

But when it dove in, the resulting devastation left the Tyranids utterly stunned.

The giant bird accelerated through the vacuum of space and crashed headfirst into a Hive Ship.

BOOM! BOOM!

A massive explosion erupted—the Hive Ship was instantly shattered into debris.

This was Bemstar—enhanced to extreme levels. Even a physical impact from its body possessed devastating power.

Having broken through the Tyranid fleet's blockade, Bemstar and the three giant robots now faced the Hive Ships directly.

A golden horn atop Bemstar's head unleashed a radiant golden energy beam, blasting a hole straight through a Hive Ship. Without hesitation, Bemstar charged in, feasting upon the Tyranid organisms inside.

Its abdomen's suction disk opened, and countless Tyranid warriors and Hive Tyrants were devoured. Even a massive Norn Queen, larger than Bemstar itself, was sucked inside and consumed.

Meanwhile, Ace Robot assumed a battle stance and unleashed a Super Metallium Beam at the remaining Hive Ships.

The massive Iron glowed blue from its chest, supplying Ace Robot with an endless source of energy.

On the other side, King Joe didn't remain idle either—after merging into his combined form, he fired his Pendanium Main Cannon from his chest.

The battle in space lasted less than an hour.

By the time it was over, more than a dozen Tyranid Hive Ships and over a hundred escort bioships had been utterly annihilated—by just four monsters.

After clearing the Tyranid fleet from orbit, the team confirmed that the remaining Tyranid creatures on the planet had lost their synaptic link to the Hive Mind, plunging them into complete chaos.

With no command structure left, they were nothing more than mindless beasts.

The three robots and the cosmic beast Bemstar then descended onto the planet.

By this point, all human survivors had been completely wiped out by the Tyranids.

Rhodes gave the order to unleash destruction— a full-scale bombardment of the planet.

King Joe split into four separate units, launching coordinated attacks on the remaining Tyranid organisms.

Bemstar activated its abdominal suction disk once more.

Ace Robot unleashed a barrage of guillotine attacks and Metallium Beams, working in tandem with the iron giant to exterminate Tyranid forces on the surface.

Rhodes had fought the Tyranids many times before—he knew exactly how to deal with them.

Step one: Eliminate the Tyranid bioships and Hive Ships.

Step two: Exterminate the Tyranid ground forces.

The key was to launch a surprise attack and never give them a chance to react.

Completely eradicating the Tyranid presence on the planet would take two to three days.

During this time, the four war machines would remain stationed there.

However, Rhodes' remote command was no longer necessary.

With the Hive Ships destroyed and the Tyranids severed from the Hive Mind, they had no chance of resistance.

More than a dozen insect nest motherships, along with over a hundred insect nest bio-escort ships, brought Rhodes more than 350,000 system gold coins.

The Tyran insects are still easier to fight. The Dark Eldar are indeed more valuable than the Tyran insects, but since large-scale attacks on the Tyran insects aren't feasible, you just need to catch one of their fleets and take it down.

At this moment, Rhodes was sitting in the spaceship's cockpit, watching through the system's virtual display as his monster minions slaughtered their enemies.

After confirming that the four giant monsters were fine, Rhodes began a new round of summoning.

He first took out 100,000 gold coins and did a draw in the primary system store, specifying mechanical monsters, and performed a 100-times consecutive draws.

A burst of golden light erupted from the primary system store as 110 loot boxes were opened.

Countless monster fragments poured out, with a total of 50 mechanical monster fragments quietly lying in Rhodes' system inventory.

New fragments of King Joe and Ultra Seven had reached seven pieces each, while another monster fragment that Rod had obtained much earlier was finally completed with 10 pieces.

This monster was none other than the infamous Ace Killer.

Ace Killer, strictly speaking, should not be considered a robot. It is an artificial monster, a creature created by the Yapool people specifically to hunt down Ultrawarriors.

Ace Killer possesses incredibly powerful abilities, capable of absorbing the beam attacks of specific Ultrawarriors and then acquiring those beam powers.

It had previously absorbed Zoffy's M78 Ray, the original Ultraman's Specium Ray, Seven's Emerium Beam, and taken Ultraman Jack's Ultra Bracelet.

Later, it even endured Ace's Metallium Ray with its own body and was immune to most of Ace's techniques.

In subsequent works, other similar Ultraman killers appeared, such as Mebius Killer and Zeta Killer.

Overall, these Ultraman killer-type monsters are extremely powerful, representing the pinnacle of Yapool's creations—top-tier biological weapons.

Rhodes directly chose to synthesize the Ace Killer in the system store.

After summoning the Ace Killer, Rhodes opened its enhancement menu. The height and weight of Ace Killer could each be enhanced seven times, which was different from mechanical monsters but similar to regular biological monsters.

In its base form, Ace Killer already possessed close-combat strength on par with an ordinary Ultrawarrior. When fully enhanced, it could reach melee combat power equivalent to two standard Ultrawarriors.

Its armor and weaponry—known as the Killer Combat Armor—could also be enhanced, but only twice. Each enhancement increased the armor's coverage area, with the final upgrade covering 85% of its body, improving both defense and weapon power.

[First armor upgrade: 5,000 gold coins]

[Second armor upgrade: 10,000 gold coins]

Ace Killer had many beam attack enhancements to choose from.

However, these enhancements required it to first absorb the corresponding beam attacks. For example, if Ace Killer absorbed Ace Robot's Metallium Ray, it could unlock Metallium Ray enhancement.

The enhancement price was the same as for Ace Robot, allowing it to upgrade to Super Beta Metallium Ray, capable of obliterating Tyran insect nest motherships.

At this stage, Ace Killer could only absorb the beam skills of Ace Robot. Alternatively, once Rhodes summoned Ultra Seven, Ace Killer could absorb Ultra Seven's Emerium Beam.

Currently, the Ace Killer has four beam absorption slots, meaning it can absorb four different beam abilities. In addition to Ultraman's beams, it could also absorb other energy-based attacks.

This included abilities from the Warhammer Universe, but Rhodes hadn't decided yet whether to let Ace Killer absorb their special energy or perhaps the unique beams from his other monsters.

Once all four slots were used up, Rhodes could still enhance Ace Killer three more times, spending 10,000, 20,000, and 30,000 gold coins respectively to purchase three additional slots for absorbing beams.

Apart from that, Ace Killer also had a special weapon—the Killer Combat Gear.

However, Rhodes was a bit disappointed that it wasn't Jack's Ultra Bracelet.

That weapon was said to be capable of instantly decapitating multiple enemies with a single spark, but unfortunately, Ace Killer didn't come with it; it had stolen it from Jack.

Obtaining the Ultra Bracelet was quite difficult because even if Rhodes summoned Ultraman Jack, that version didn't come with the Ultra Bracelet either.

Ace Killer's combat prowess was quite remarkable, essentially an enhanced version of Ace Robot.

Moreover, it possessed decent intelligence, meaning it could act independently without Rhodes' direct control.
