"Jenna, Chloe," Rae said with gritted teeth. "I don't think it's your place to comment about—"
"It's fine," Helena told Rae with a slight smile.
"What do you mean it's fine?!" Rae asked, appalled by Helena's reaction. "Have you not forgotten what these two used to say when we were kids?"
"Exactly, we were kids," Helean chuckled.
"Yeah, I'm not too proud of that," the blonde, Jenna, said as her shoulders deflated and she bent her head down. "I guess getting out of the pack really helped me realize how petty and small some people are."
Rae looked at Helena in disbelief.
"You don't need to pretend to still hate them for me," Helena chuckled.
"I don't?" Rae asked as her features softened.
"Yeah, I know that people can change," Helena shrugged. "I met or should I say re-met Jenna and Chloe during elite training, the day you decided to sleep in."
"You were gone a long time," Rae sighed.
Helena pulled her best friend and step-sister into a half-armed hug.
