'How many?' Helena asked through the pack link while Romeo focused on driving.
'So far, we have twenty,' Gamma Norton responded. 'Are you near?'
'Two minutes out by car,' she said as she estimated how long it would take them to get to the border. 'How many do we have from our side?'
'I was leading a patrol of six wolves, two from each territory,' he reported to Helena.
Seven against twenty were not good odds even with the Gamma.
'Is anyone else on their way?' she asked, sending the question as far as possible through the link.
'I'm coming with twenty more warriors,' Kade said through the pack link. 'And Daniel.'
With a Beta, two Gammas, and two Alphas their odds would be a lot better even if more wolves arrived.
'Marco and I are gathering more men,' she heard her stepfather say through the link. 'Jeremiah and his Beta are doing the same as well.'
"Do you think they'll attack the Red River side?" Helena asked Romeo.
