"No," Helena said, catching Romeo off guard.
Things had been going so well between them he was shocked when she refused to move in with him in the Alpha suite.
"What do you mean, no?" he asked her as he drew circles on her back.
"You're supposed to be sharing that room with your Luna," she said.
Romeo looked at her with confusion.
Hadn't he made himself clear enough that she was his mate, that she would be his Luna?
"Helena, look at me," Romeo said as he pinched her chin and tilted her head up. "There is no one out there, I repeat, no one that I would choose to stand next to me as my Luna and my Mate. It will and has always been you."
"But, Romeo—"
Romeo groaned and took her lips in his, kissing her as he cupped the back of her head and wrapped his hand around her waist.
He knew she liked it.
She kissed him back and wrapped her arms around his neck.
To his surprise she slowly pulled away and rested her head on his chest.
"What's wrong?" he asked her.
