Magic hummed through Helena's veins as she looked at the clouds above from the rooftop of her Sunfire City apartment.
They didn't have much time to train her magic. Three days was all they got till the next window, which was today.
"The world has got to amaze you," Caleb said as he helped set up the rooftop. "The closest opening was really on the morning of the Blood Moon?"
Victor laughed while all Helena could do was groan.
She needed to keep her mind on the spell she was about to cast. The matter of seeing her mate would have to wait for later.
"The fact that it happens on the Blood Moon makes Helena's link to our world stronger," Dora explained as she made sure the candles were all in the correct spot.
"Because of her mate?" Victor asked.
"He is one of her bonds to this world, yes," Dora said with a small nod as she surveyed the rooftop. "I think we're all set."
"Really?" Helena asked, her voice shaking.
