I yanked several gym bags from the walk-in wardrobe on the other side of the bed, directing the Rain to collect different inventions I never finished and notebooks filled with formulas and writing.
"Where's my journal?" I asked the air, rummaging through the drawers and chucking things out.
"It's here," Leon mumbled from the door, and I looked at the black writing book in his hands.
"You, you read it?" I don't know why I asked, but he obviously did.
I don't know half of the things in that book right now. I've just remembered that my ex-boyfriends are unironically despicable people. I took the book from his hands, but his lack of an answer was a clear indication.
"I never should have let you leave," he mumbled, his eyes darkening as he looked at Rain and Nexus, "You've hit me twice."
I smacked him upside the head, holding back a lot of my strength.
