"Everyone, do you all know what you're supposed to do?"
Makarov glanced over the group, pausing for a moment on Laxus' reluctant face, a trace of barely noticeable helplessness flashing in his eyes.
"Mm!"
"Ahem, then let me say it one last time."
Ignoring the awkward expressions on the others' faces, Makarov cleared his throat and spoke, "Today, we must do our best to attract Noel's attention and restrain him, to give Erza the chance to get close to Noel..."
Makarov looked at everyone seriously, his face slightly solemn.
"I know yesterday's battle was a big blow to everyone, but Erza's Moon Goddess Armor has given us a glimmer of hope. So, today, no matter what, I hope everyone can give it their all. Can you all do that?"
"Of course."
"After being beaten like that, how can we just let it go!"
"Like a man!!"
As everyone set off towards Nord's palace, Makarov, who was at the back of the group, subtly pulled Laxus aside.
"What is it, old man?" Laxus asked in a low voice.
"Today, I'm counting on you."
Laxus looked at Makarov, and seeing the weariness on his face, the words he wanted to argue with suddenly got stuck in his throat.
He could only snort coldly and walk forward, calling out, "Fried!"
"Yes."
"Listen to the old man today," Laxus said.
"Ah... oh." Fried, though confused, still agreed.
Seeing this, a slight look of relief appeared on Makarov's face.
...
"Well then, I leave it to you all." Erza said to everyone in front of the white palace.
"Don't be so polite, Erza. This is to bring Noel back," Gray said with a slight smile.
"That's right, Erza."
"Be like a man, Erza."
A flash of gratitude passed in Erza's eyes.
She took a deep breath and pushed open the large door of the palace.

Wandering alone at the top of the sky, isn't this only natural?
Because I am a God.
What's wrong with treating humans as ants?
What's the point of desiring human emotions?
I don't understand, really don't understand.
I cannot comprehend his persistence—what is it for?
Humans are so weak, so powerless, so fragile.
Such a creature that doesn't even have the value of awakening my attention—why is he so persistent about it?
(You are pitiful, because you only have reason, but cannot understand emotion.)
He said that back then, with a sad smile at the corner of his lips.
For some reason, I always found his smile so irritating back then.
That's why, at that time, I bet with him.
In the end, he lost.
He lost to that ant named Jellal.
The reason for his defeat was that he cared too much about human emotions.
Thinking about it now, it seems that I won the bet after all, didn't I?
If I won, then why do I not feel victorious?
Nord slowly closed his eyes, deciding not to think any longer about this seemingly meaningless matter.
With a soft creak, the door opened.
Nord coldly watched the group that entered.
A slight, almost imperceptible frown appeared between his brows, and his purple and blue eyes revealed a hint of impatience.
"You all are truly bothersome. I had originally planned to spare you all for the sake of [Another me], but since you're so oblivious to your own death, this time, I shall let you all die here."
"Heh, we won't give up until we bring Noel back!" Cana said, holding a few cards between her fingers, glaring at Nord.
"Right, exactly like that," another voice added.
"[Fire Dragon's Iron Fist]!" Natsu shouted, rushing toward Nord first.
"Foolish!" Nord coldly muttered before smashing Natsu's flames with a single punch and sending him flying.
"[Ice Disc]!" Gray followed closely, creating a high-speed spinning disc to charge at Nord.
"What foolishness. We're just here to bring Noel back!"
"A meaningless action. Don't you still understand the gap between you all and me?" Nord said, kicking Gray's ice disc into pieces.
"So what if it's like this?" Natsu punched the floor, his determined gaze locked on Nord.
Flames of red surrounded his hand. "As long as we have our comrades, we fear nothing!"
"Well said, Natsu! Truly a man!" Elfman, having received the power boost, punched toward Nord.
Though Nord dodged one punch, the second hit him, and Elfman tightly hugged him, saying, "We won't give up until we bring Noel back."
"Hmph, though I don't agree with their thoughts, I'm even more irritated by you, Noel!" Laxus, with electricity crackling in his hands, seized the opportunity and landed two punches on Nord's body.
"Impossible. You all can never defeat me!" Nord's expression remained unchanged as his golden divine power exploded, sending Laxus and Elfman flying.
"[Thunderclap Destiny]!" Cana shouted, and a massive bolt of lightning shot out from her card, crashing toward Nord.
"[Armor Change: Armadura Fairy Armor]" Erza changed into her strongest armor and raised her sword, which was enveloped in green magic, charging at Nord.
"[Darkness Bullet]!" Fried, transformed into a demon, formed powerful dark magic orbs with both hands and shot them at Nord.
"Haha, though I don't like these people, since it's Laxus who said it, I have no choice. Go, [Heavy Formation]." Bickslow chuckled and waved his hand. Five small puppets formed a pentagon, firing powerful laser beams at Nord.
"[Fairy Machine Gun Pixies]!" Evergreen shouted, using magic to summon billions of destructive fairy magic needles, hurling them at Nord.
Nord's expression remained unchanged.
Some of his golden divine power gathered into a constantly spinning golden vortex.
The group's attacks hit the golden vortex, but the vortex made no sign of budging.
"No matter how many ants there are, they are still ants. They will be of no use to me."
"Not necessarily," Ishu said calmly, his hands spreading wide.
"[Law of the Celestial Gods]!!"
The air around them instantly solidified into dozens of massive beasts, charging relentlessly toward Nord's golden divine vortex, causing an unending series of explosive sounds.
Makarov, now transformed into a giant, also threw punch after punch at the golden vortex of divine power.
Finally, after several attacks, the golden vortex could no longer absorb the strikes.
The center of the vortex was torn open by their combined attacks.
"Hm?" A glint of surprise flashed in Nord's eyes as he watched this scene.
With a wave of his hand, the dispersing golden divine power instantly vanished.
Nord stomped his foot, appearing beside Ishu, and delivered a punch.
Boom.
Ishu was sent flying, crashing into the wall, coughing up blood.
Yet, he stood up and charged toward Nord once again.
"[Open, Lion's Gate, Leo]." A flash of light appeared as Leo manifested, his glowing fists flying toward Nord, only to be kicked away by Nord.
Nord's expression became slightly more serious.
He waved his hand, and platinum-colored flames danced at his fingertips:
"[Divine Light Magic, Chapter 2, Section 3, Sacred Flame]!"
The platinum flames turned into a torrent, rushing toward everyone present.
At that moment, Natsu leaped into the air, facing the platinum flames.
"Useless. You cannot devour my flames!" Nord said indifferently.
