"Hahaha, as expected of Noel—you really understand me well."
A familiar yet untraceable voice suddenly rang out, and Laxus' projection appeared before the few people inside the guild.
Noel frowned, staring at Laxus with displeasure. "Why did your thought projection suddenly appear here? Are you here just to give us a battle update?"
A strange glint flashed in Laxus' eyes before he let out a dismissive sneer. "Oh? Noel? And Natsu? You two are still here? Don't tell me the game hasn't even started, and you've already given up?"
"Like hell I know!! I can't get out of here!"
"For some reason, I'm trapped in this barrier too."
"Laxus, you bastard!!" Makarov roared at him.
"Well, that's a real shame," Laxus shrugged, then smirked wickedly. "Your comrades… No, wait, you call them your 'children,' right? Watching your children slaughter each other—it must be unbearable, huh? Ah, what a pity.
If Noel, Erza, and Mira can't participate, then those small fry outside won't even be able to take down the Thunder God Tribe, let alone me. Want to surrender?"
"Gray is still out there," Happy retorted. "He's on par with Natsu! He won't lose to those Thunder God guys!"
"That guy? As strong as me?"
Natsu, who was just used as a comparison, found the statement completely ridiculous.
"Hahaha, you still have expectations for a kid like that?" Laxus laughed mockingly.
"Don't underestimate Gray, Laxus!"
As they spoke, the floating magical text in midair suddenly updated again.
"Gray vs. Bickslow. Winner: Bickslow. Gray is unable to continue fighting. Remaining participants: 28."
The sudden update appeared at the perfect moment, almost as if mocking them.
Laxus burst into laughter. "Ahahaha! Didn't I already tell you?"
"I understand now… Enough. I surrender. Just stop this, Laxus."
Makarov lowered his head, murmuring in a voice filled with exhaustion.
At that moment, he seemed to age several years.
"Oh, that won't do. As the famous guild master of Fairy Tail, you're going to admit defeat so soon? If you really want to surrender, then hand over the position of guild master to me."
"So that's what you were after from the very beginning?"
Makarov instantly realized Laxus' true intentions, and his expression darkened terrifyingly.
"There's an hour and a half left before the petrified ones are destroyed. If you want to forfeit, then use the guild's loudspeaker and announce it to the entire city. Let everyone hear it—declare that you're handing over the title of Fairy Tail's guild master to me. Think carefully… which is more important to you—your status or your comrades?"
BANG!
A sudden sound, like shattering glass, echoed through the room.
Makarov and Natsu stared in shock as Noel, without warning, punched Laxus' thought projection, causing cracks to spread across it.
"It's not over yet. If you don't know when to quit, then sit tight and wait for me, Laxus."
Noel smirked as he watched Laxus' projection slowly shatter.
"I'm coming for you."
"Heh… is that so? I'm looking forward to it. Hurry up and come, Noel."
"This civil war… my goal isn't just the Fairy Tail guild master's seat. More importantly… I want to crush you. I'm going to return that humiliation to you a thousand times over. I've been waiting for this for a long time…"
Laxus' face showed no anger—only an amused smile.
With those parting words, his thought projection slowly faded away.
"That bastard! He doesn't even have the guts to fight me one-on-one, yet he calls himself the strongest?! And he dares to demand the guild master's position?"
The hot-blooded Natsu roared at the direction where Laxus' projection had disappeared.
"Guild master?"
"Hmm… I don't care about the position itself. But I can't let Fairy Tail be entrusted to Laxus. If he takes that seat too easily, his beliefs and heart will remain too unstable."
Though Makarov's expression didn't change, his voice was filled with gravity.
"But if this keeps up, everyone will turn into dust…"
Happy murmured anxiously, flying in circles around the group.
At that moment, the sharp clinking sound of metal colliding suddenly rang out from a corner of the guild.
"Who's there?"
"It's me."
A somewhat stiff voice sounded from under the table, and a man emerged from beneath it.
"Gajeel!"
"Don't eat the silverware!"
"A-Are you saying… you're going to go?"
Seeing Gajeel appear, Makarov couldn't help but show a relieved expression.
"That bastard still owes me a debt. Alright, leave it to me."
Gajeel spoke with confidence, exuding a reassuring presence.
However, Noel wasn't too optimistic.
Putting himself aside, Natsu used the same magic as Gajeel.
Since Natsu couldn't break through, then Gajeel…
BAM.
As Noel expected, Gajeel crashed into the barrier just like Natsu did, his face flattening against the invisible wall before sliding down in defeat.
"It looks like we can only rely on the members outside to take down the one from the Thunder God Tribe who set up the barrier," Noel sighed, sitting down on a nearby chair with a frown.
At that moment, the floating magical text in midair updated once more—bringing yet another piece of bad news.
"Three people… aside from Noel…"
Makarov stared blankly at Noel, then slowly shifted his gaze toward the two bickering idiots.
"Apart from Noel… only you two are left?"
Upon reaching that conclusion, Makarov felt his vision go dark, as if he had just been kicked straight into hell.
Looking at the only two remaining fighters—Natsu and Gajeel—Makarov let out a heavy sigh and glanced around the guild.
"Are we truly at our limit?"
"Tch, no choice then. I'll go revive Erza! This is a rare chance to see her looking bad!"
Just as Makarov was feeling hopeless, Natsu suddenly made a shocking statement and headed toward the petrified Erza.
"What exactly are you planning to do?" Noel tilted his head, looking at Natsu in confusion.
Hearing Noel's question, Natsu turned back, flames igniting in his hands as he carelessly replied, "If I burn the stone part, it should melt, right?"
"STOP RIGHT THERE!"
"Erza and the others have turned to stone all the way to their insides!"
Crack.
The sound of stone shattering echoed clearly in everyone's ears.
Their faces instantly turned pale.
"This is bad!! It's cracking! Glue! Glue! Happy, go get some glue!!"
"You idiot! How could glue possibly stick her back together?! Melt my iron with your fire and weld her together instead!"
"You two idiots!!!"
The cracks spread rapidly, covering the entire stone figure.
Under the group's terrified gazes, the statue shattered completely—revealing Erza, now back in the guild, dressed in a gothic lolita outfit.
