Just as Joanna Ventrue was about to bite Avril's neck, a hand suddenly appeared out of thin air and grasped hold of Joanna's neck. It was ruthless and merciless.
Haider looked at Joanna with a livid face, and his voice was filled with anger.
"Joanna, do you want to die? How dare you touch my woman?"
Since Haider had gripped Joanna's neck, there was no way she could call for help. She could feel a strong pressure emanating from Haider, and it was exerting force on her heart.
She finally felt fearful. Haider really wanted to kill her.
Avril's vision was blocked by Haider. She couldn't see Joanna, so she didn't know what Joanna had intended to do before. She thought that Haider saw her being bullied, and he was blocking Joanna's hand.
"Haider!" Avril patted his arm, trying to make him let go.
