With a violent explosion, Yamamoto's body was engulfed in raging flames as he was hurled into the distance, a trail of fire marking his flight.
Witnessing this scene, everyone on the ground couldn't help but exclaim.
"Captain!"
"Sensei Yamamoto!"
"Captain-Commander!"
Those who had witnessed the legendary battle over a hundred years ago were already aware of the terrifying strength of Aaron.
But no one had imagined he could be this strong.
With a single strike, he had sent Yamamoto's formidable form flying. What kind of monstrous power must he possess to achieve such a feat?
Yamamoto let out a muffled grunt before stabilizing himself mid-air.
A tremendous surge of Reiatsu erupted from his body, instantly extinguishing the flames that had engulfed him.
Gripping his Zanpakutō tighter, Yamamoto fixed a steely gaze on Aaron, who stood unscathed in the distance. He sighed deeply before speaking in a grave tone:
"To think that in just a century, you have grown to such a level."
Aaron glanced at his own Zanpakutō and smiled faintly, offering no response.
Boom!
A violent surge of Reiatsu, almost tangible in its intensity, erupted from Aaron's body, surging toward Yamamoto.
In an instant, a fierce wind howled, spreading in all directions, carrying with it a murderous aura.
The people below felt as though they were suffocating, hastily releasing their own Reiatsu to withstand the pressure and the gale.
Ichigo shielded his eyes against the wind, straining to see through the chaos, his face a mix of shock and disbelief.
"Sensei Yamamoto..." Ichigo muttered, trying to keep his eyes open to witness everything.
Yamamoto's expression remained stern, but a flicker of fear crossed his eyes.
Although he had estimated Aaron's strength beforehand, he never anticipated that his opponent could surpass him so completely with Reiatsu alone.
This wasn't even accounting for the Zanpakutō in Aaron's hand.
The thought that Aaron could potentially use techniques similar to his own Ryūjin Jakka caused a twinge of unease to settle in Yamamoto's heart.
Fully aware of the devastating consequences of Ryūjin Jakka's Bankai, Yamamoto refrained from using his full strength—at least for now.
Aaron's earlier words echoed in his mind.
"Some of these abilities are mine, while others are... borrowed."
The ambiguity of his statement left Yamamoto on edge. What did he mean by "borrowed"? Who else was he referring to?
Furrowing his brows, Yamamoto kept a vigilant eye on Aaron.
Meanwhile, Abarai Renji struggled to stand, collapsing under the weight of his severe injuries.
He watched helplessly as Aizen approached Rukia with a calm, calculating smile, as though she were some priceless treasure.
Suddenly, a massive shadow of a blade descended upon Aizen.
Boom!
The ground erupted with rubble and dust as the attack struck.
Komamura Sajin, masked and imposing, appeared behind Aizen and Tōsen Kaname, his stance unwavering.
As the dust cleared, Aizen, unscathed, looked on with thinly veiled disdain.
"Tōsen, why?" Komamura asked, his voice trembling.
But Tōsen Kaname showed no emotion, his lips barely moving as he chose not to respond.
"This is getting tiresome," Aizen remarked with a smirk, raising his blade.
Boom!
A burst of light and dust followed, splitting Komamura's mask and revealing his true, non-human visage.
"Tōsen, handle this," Aizen commanded, stepping back with indifference.
Without hesitation, Tōsen drew his Zanpakutō, and the world around them darkened completely, leaving them in a void devoid of light.
At the same moment, a crisp voice echoed across Seireitei from the direction of the Central 46 Chambers.
"Attention all divisions! Attention all divisions!"
This was Kotetsu Isane of the Fourth Division, transmitting a message via Tenteikūra.
Captain Unohana, who had just arrived at the Central 46 Chambers, had uncovered a startling truth.
Though Unohana had suspected Aizen's deception, hearing him confess it so plainly still left her momentarily stunned.
Back on the battlefield, the confrontation on the Sōkyoku Hill raged on. All eyes, including Yamamoto's, were fixed on Aaron.
The power emanating from him was overwhelming, and the Reiatsu of Komamura in the distance was steadily fading—a sign that the battle there was taking a heavy toll.
Aaron glanced at Ichigo, who stood frozen in the distance, and offered him a slight nod and a faint smile.
Yamamoto, feeling the situation escalate, released even more of his own formidable Reiatsu, transforming into a blur of motion as he rushed toward the scene of Komamura's battle.
"Rukia!" Ichigo shouted, as though suddenly recalling something critical. Without hesitation, he began sprinting toward the battlefield, his comrades following closely behind.
"Sensei, we..."
Yoruichi glanced at Aaron, who was descending slowly from mid-air. Her tone was cautious as she asked tentatively, "What do we do now?"
Aaron regarded Yoruichi with a calm yet knowing gaze. A faint smile played on his lips as he replied, "If you're curious, let's go see for ourselves."
Caught off guard by the soft intensity of his look, Yoruichi felt her cheeks grow warm. She averted her gaze for a moment before nodding.
Without another word, both of them vanished, transforming into blurred afterimages as they sped away from the battlefield.
