"What do you mean the Beta Lord took her away?!"
The enraged voice of a woman rang through the dimly lit chamber, her fury vibrating through the walls. She stood in the center of the lavish room, her exquisite gown shimmering under the flickering candlelight. Gold stripes wove through the fabric, accentuating her noble status. But despite her elegant appearance, her face was etched with pure frustration as she paced back and forth.
Across from her, a young man dressed in a finely tailored purple tunic stood stiffly, his expression twisted with unease.
"I swear, Arata," he said, his voice laced with both anxiety and regret. "I was this close to grabbing her..just a second away only for Madam Melisa to appear out of nowhere!"
