Dimitri's deep voice shattered the silence, prompting Sorayah to snap her gaze toward him. He stood at the edge of the stream, his body still damp from his bath but he was already dressed, his expression as cold and unreadable as ever. It turns out he already brought another pair of outfits with him which he changed to.
"Follow me." His tone held no room for argument.
Without hesitation, he turned and began striding into the thick forest that surrounded the stream.
Sorayah swallowed hard before quickly falling into step behind him leaving the horse which Dimitri had tied it's rope to one of the tree branches behind.
They walked for over thirty minutes, the silence between them thick with unspoken thoughts. The only sounds were the distant calls of birds and the crunch of leaves beneath their boots.
Then, through the dense foliage, buildings began to emerge.
