"Clara! Wake up, Clara! Hold on... please hold on!"
I could only mumble as the gurney moved towards the emergency room. I didn't know what was going through that girl's head to use drugs. She was a doctor-to-be who should know the dangers of using those things.
"John, take it easy. We'll take care of your wife," Ryan said, patting my shoulder before leaving. I stayed silent, waiting for news about Clara's condition.
"Stupid girl! What on earth is going through your mind to do all this? Do you have a problem? Why don't you tell me?" I muttered, regretting everything that had happened to Clara.
I didn't understand, really. She never said anything, and it made me feel like a fool. Frustrated, I wrung out my hair, which had been disheveled since earlier. She didn't even give me a chance to finish my breakfast to get to her early.
I had expected this to happen, but still, my stupid self didn't know what to do.
