Chapter 210 - Chapter 210

"It's really a mission!"

Haruto Saito suddenly felt a sense of admiration for his own caution. Being careful was the right choice. If he had rushed to use the Magic Trick Card earlier but didn't have time to complete the mission, he would have been in serious trouble.

"Hmm, repeat the mission again."

Haruto spoke in his mind, and the Card Emperor Spirit immediately repeated the details.

"Barrier Breaking Jutsu? Mental energy reduced by half?"

Haruto carefully analyzed the mission content again, his expression shifting. The next moment, he almost cursed out loud—because the difficulty level of this mission was absolutely insane!

The Secret Technique: Barrier Breaking Jutsu belonged to the Meiji Clan. In their secret scrolls, it was marked as an S-rank forbidden jutsu!

Back when Haruto obtained a total of thirteen Meiji Clan techniques, he had been impressed by how powerful they were. But considering the time required for training and the practicality of each jutsu, he had ultimately decided to focus on mastering only three of them—two A-rank secret techniques and one S-rank secret technique.

The most difficult, yet also the most practical, was the Barrier Breaking Jutsu!

Haruto had always planned to learn it. He had studied the scroll repeatedly and reached the conclusion that for an average ninja, mastering this technique would take at least eight to ten years.

The effect of this jutsu could be summed up in one phrase—phasing through walls!

Once mastered, Barrier Breaking Jutsu would allow its user to ignore any obstacle and pass straight through it. Whether it was walls, trees, rocks, ice, or even reinforced metal doors, the user could phase through them instantly. Even most sealing jutsu barriers wouldn't be able to stop it.

Haruto estimated that even the reinforced prison doors in the Anbu dungeon wouldn't be able to block this technique. If he wanted to pass through, he simply would!

What made this jutsu even more terrifying was that it required no hand seals to activate. The only requirement was to imprint a Barrier Breaking Mark on one's body. Whenever the user wished to activate the technique, they would simply trigger the mark—and the jutsu would be instantly cast!

A true instant-cast jutsu!

It was easy to imagine why the Meiji Clan had once been able to steal classified intelligence and secret scrolls from right under the Hyuga Clan's noses. The Barrier Breaking Jutsu must have played a crucial role.

However, there was no way Haruto could master it in just half a month!

And if he failed to complete the mission, the penalty was brutal—his mental energy would be cut in half. In other words, his chakra reserves would be permanently reduced by 50%!

This was beyond unfair!

"Spirit, can you explain to me why the Magic Trick Card assigned me a mission that I clearly can't complete? Why not just directly cut my mental energy by half instead of all this trouble?" Haruto complained bitterly.

"Ding! Reminder: The Magic Trick Card does not issue missions that the host cannot complete." The Card Emperor Spirit responded.

"Oh really? Are you telling me I can actually learn the Barrier Breaking Jutsu in just fifteen days? What method am I supposed to use?"

"Ding... Recalculating data... Running probability simulation... Ding... Calculation complete. Mission system is functioning normally. Mission issued correctly."

The mechanical voice of the Card Emperor Spirit rang out again before it continued in a neutral tone:

"Using the Magic Trick Card is one of the host's ways of obtaining missions. Missions are assigned based on the host's current condition, personal relationships, environment, and recent events. Any assigned mission is always within the host's capabilities, though the probability of success may vary."

"Then what is my probability of successfully completing this mission?"

"Current success probability: 53%."

"Fifty-three percent?! Are you kidding me?! Where do you see a fifty-percent chance of me completing this mission?"

"Please refrain from using foul language, host."

Haruto nearly lost it!

It wasn't that he was underestimating himself, but he had studied the Barrier Breaking Jutsu in depth. This technique was borderline supernatural—capable of bypassing any physical object, even chakra-based sealing barriers. And the more unbelievable a technique was, the harder it was to master!

Sure, the rewards were tempting—two Boss Cards and ten Mental Enhancement Cards—but Haruto had zero confidence that he could learn this technique in just half a month.

His expression darkened as he paced back and forth.

How could he learn it?

If he relied only on himself, it was absolutely impossible. Even if he dedicated all his time to training, it would still take at least six months—and even that wasn't guaranteed!

But there was one other way—he could seek guidance from someone else!

The problem was… who could he ask?

Who on earth would have the talent to learn Barrier Breaking Jutsu?

Hiruzen Sarutobi?

Maybe. He had an all-attribute talent, meaning he was a natural at learning any jutsu. But Hiruzen was far too busy to train Haruto personally. In the past month, he had only visited Anbu twice to observe Haruto's training and offer brief pointers.

Right now, with the ninja world growing more unstable—small conflicts erupting constantly, and a full-scale war looming—Hiruzen was working late every night and had no time to personally teach anyone.

Haruto spent over an hour pacing, racking his brain but still failing to come up with someone who could help him. The technique was just too unique.

"No, I can't let myself panic. The Spirit said it's possible, which means it must be possible. I just haven't thought of the right way yet."

He took a deep breath, sat down, and pulled out the copied scroll of Barrier Breaking Jutsu from his inventory. He began reading it carefully again.

Even though he had already memorized the technique completely, reading the original scroll again provided a clearer perspective.

As he studied the text, a sudden realization struck him.

"Space-Time Attributes?"

Haruto's eyes lit up.

He had just noticed that Barrier Breaking Jutsu involved space-time manipulation!

In essence, this jutsu functioned by using the physical material of an object as a medium—allowing the user to teleport from one side of an object to the other. The scroll never explicitly mentioned "space-time," but in reality, this was a unique form of spatial movement!

Then a name suddenly popped into Haruto's mind.

"Minato Namikaze!"

Haruto's eyes flashed with excitement. He instantly formed a hand seal and vanished.

One hour later.

Creak!

The doors to the training hall slowly swung open.

Haruto stepped inside first, followed by Minato Namikaze, who was carrying his schoolbag and looking around curiously.

He had just finished school when Haruto dragged him here.

Minato took a few steps in, glancing around. "Haruto-san, is this your training hall? It must have cost a fortune to build, right?"

"I asked my teacher for it," Haruto replied casually. "He said just the material costs alone were ten million ryo."

Minato's eyes widened.

Haruto quickly changed the subject. "Anyway, forget about that. I brought you here for something important. Take a look at this."

He pulled out the Barrier Breaking Jutsu scroll and handed it to Minato.
