They were right there, although alot more conscious than I left them.
"Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhggghhhh"
Ellie screamed again, the room was mostly empty so her loud scream was even further amplified as they bounced off the walls of the room.
"Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhggghhhh"
And again.
The third scream didn't affect me like the earlier two, so I just stood and watched them.
"Did you see how fast he moved... " Jake muttered, his eyes were still staring at the lifeless Huang Song.
So at this point, I think they saw most of the fight, if not all of it.
'For Christ sakes it's getting harder and harder to keep this secret'.
I spread both palms wide as a sign of 'meaning no harm', "Guys I can explain..." I said with a shaky voice.
"You killed somebody...!" Jake yelled with look of shock etched in his eyes.
"I can explain... He was gonna kill me too, I was defending my self" I said taking a step forward.
They both took a step backwards in retreat.
I noticed that immediately and stopped.
"Are you guys scared?, it's not like I'm going to kill you too!" I said as I dropped both my arms to the side.
"What are you? No E-Rank Hero can move like you just did" Jake said pointing a darting finger at me while he reached for his boomerang.
"Seriously?..." My face ploped down. "After seeing that, you think your boomerang would be of much help..."
"So you do wanna kill us!!!!" Jake snatched back, wiping out his boomerang.
"Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhggghhhh".
Ellie screamed again.
They were starting to get on my nerves, if only they could just let me explain.
"Why the f*ck would I do that... You're my friends" I said.
Ellie opened her mouth to scream one more time but stopped as I immediately shot her a dreadful look.
"If you scream one more time Ellie!..."
She wimped back.
Whoooooshhhh.
Jake threw his boomerang at me, to which I tilted my head, effortlessly dodging it.
"Ermmm... Okay...." I clapped both hands together.
"Guys look, I know this whole thing looks... Not good! But I promise I will explain it all in fine detail if we just get the hell out of here first".
I looked at Jake, he wasn't paying attention to what I was saying at all. He just stared at me with a huge grin on his face.
"You forgot why my name is Boomerang Man... Hehe" his eyes darted to the top left corner.
I simply swung my head to the side and raised my right hand to catch his returning boomerang easily in my palm.
Funny of him to think that would have an effect even if it hit.
"...!"
"Ohhh! How?!" His jaw dropped open like a dog.
"I'm a Meta..." I blurted.
"What!!!?" Both their faces plastered with confusion while staring at my bloodied figure.
"Since when..." Ellie asked.
I let out a huge sigh and rubbed my temples gently to calm myself down, I was starting to feel the mental exhaustion.
"Like I said, I will explain everything in fine detail but can we get out of here like right now!? The cops will be here any minute" I begged.
"Let them come, this is a great opportunity for us to get recognition..." Jake muttered throwing an understanding look at Ellie.
"There's a dead man here..." I added, "ISA heroes are only allowed to kill on sight if there's a registered threat level".
"So, in the eyes of the police we're just ISA heroes who took advantage of our hero status and MURDERED a civilian... He's an unregistered Meta..."
They both stood there just staring at me like I was some circus show.
"Let's go!..." I urged, snapping them out of their frenzy.
The three of us made way into the main warehouse and past the sea of unconscious White Vortex goons lying around like dead fish floating on a sea.
I spotted the second in command and walked right up to him, he had stopped bleeding excessively, he had a thick cloth dipped into his wound preventing the bleeding from getting worse. Like I told him.
"The police will be here any minute, repeat after me..."
He nodded in response.
"Rival drug gang took us by surprise and destroyed our whole operation..."
He nodded again.
"Repeat it..." I ordered.
"Rival... Ri... Rival... Rival drug gang took us by surprise and destroyed our whole operation..."
"Very well... Have a nice time in prison. Who knows, you might get out sooner than you think if you behave"
I walked past him and exited the warehouse with my friends.

Bam!
A bottle of fizzed drink dropped on the table.
After the crazy event with the White Vortex, we stopped at a roadside restaurant cause I was starving.
I ordered a large portion of different foods because I needed to eat to my feel to replenish the amount of brain power spent.
Jake and Ellie were still full of questions so they just sat there watching me eat.
"Aren't you guys going to have anything... Don't worry bills on me!" I said with a mouth full of fries.
"So much blood on your clothes..." Ellie muttered.
I looked down, and as a matter of fact I was bloodied all over.
"Don't worry it's not mine... By the way, there not a lot of people here so no one will probably notice it".
I resumed stuffing food and drinks inside my mouth like a hungry bear.
"Alright! Start talking..." Jake leaned in, resting his arms on the table, peering at me with detective eyes.
"Explain to us in the most logical way possible, how we got here!"
"How did you get powers?"
"When did you get powers?"
"Why haven't you told us?"
"What are your powers like?"
*Gulp
I swallowed a mouth full of minced meat and picked up my fruit punch and began sipping as well.
*Sip.
Bam!
Slammed the cup onto the table and let out a throaty burb.
"Okay so you remember that day Snake King the S-Class villain rampage through the Sector D..."
And so, I began explaining everything to them, from the very beginning. How I arrived at the scene when Snake King was about to devour a group of scared civilians.
How even after doing the very best I could, I still didn't stand a chance against an S-Class villain like Snake King
Then, I told them about the red space, the alien ship and Q'urtona. How she told me I was chosen to be a Worthy Vessel for the Forever Core and how it had helped me level up in terms of class.
I told them about my new abilities and how I've been training and doing my very best to get stronger, better and efficient.
I told them everything, each bombshell I dropped ignited a corresponding burst of surprise and awe from their end.
By the time I was done, about thirty minutes had passed since I started talking and when I finished, all they could do was just stare at me with big eyes and open mouths.
"What the f*uck" Jake said slowly.
"What?"
"Dude, how could you keep this from us!!?" He bursted out with an expected frenzy that startled a little.
"I think I've made my position clear on that already..." I shot him a funny look.
"So this Qantana lady where is she now..." Ellie interjected.
"I don't know? She or her crew haven't made contact with me ever since... It's Q'urtona..."
"Ehhh... Qwartona?"
"No, Q'urtona!"
"Ohh yeah, Qwartuuna. Got it!"
"Nooooo! Q'urtona..."
"I know, Qwartuuna. Like you said... Spell it"
"What do you mean spell it, I don't know how to spell it..."
"What do you mean you don't know how to spell it, you're the one who she put a glowing golden bomb in your chest!"
"Doesn't mean I can spell her name, it's obviously not English!"
"Qwartona!" Ellie shot back.
"Whatever, it doesn't matter... So, now you know my big little secret yeah! Can I eat my food in peace?" I said as I leaned into my seat and grabbed the juice sitting on top of the table.
"So you can heal, you shoot lasers from your palms, you can create blades out of thin air... " Jake began mentioning all the abilities I told them earlier.
"It's not out of thin air... It's from the suit"
"Shut up... You have an indestructible suit, you can move faster than the blink of an eye, you can turn invisible, you can create huge cannons From your arms, and you can fly!" He finished with a his eyes wide glaring at me with peak curiosity.
*Slurp slurp
"I cannot turn invisible, the suit bends light to make me blend with my environment, almost like a see through glass... but yes and more... In a nut shell yeah"
I replied, sipping from from the straw poking out of my cup.
"So you never get tired!..." Ellie asked.
"Oh no I do get tired, just not physically" I replied.
"I don't understand... "
"I heal with my Regenerate Skill, but the exhaustion is still burnt in my brain. So I get exhausted mentally, that's why I have to get lots of sleep and eat lots of food to get lots of brain power " I said while poking a finger to the side of my head.
"Is it just me... But I think with all this abilities, you could very well be an S-Class hero!!" Jake said with both his arms spread apart with excitement.
"Hmmm..." I put a hand against my chin and stroked it. "It's possible, I probably will be. But not too long ago I was clocking at C-Class, I will admit that I've gotten several times stronger since then..." I said.
"Maybe An upper A-Class or Lower S-Class. But I do know that I wouldn't stand a chance against someone like Golden Guardian... For now, that is."
