It has been a few years since he became the police chief and has his eyes set on the mayor's seat. It was supposed to remain a peaceful area for him so he could ascend but right now, it was becoming clear to Hanks that there was someone trying so hard to ruin everything he had worked so hard for. All these while the waters had been quiet, it was because of his own sacrifice that he was not proud of. But there was a storm in that quiet now that had upset everything.
He had arrived at the bridge with his men and usually, everything would have been seemingly fine but he knew that his guts were not lying when they told him something was definitely off. He had led his men down the bridge and close to the water so they could resume checks when the worst thing had happened.
The diver that was to go inside and check had just started wading his way towards the middle of the canal when suddenly, he freaked out and remained still.
