"Too skilled for your liking, I presume. You expected her to fail, right?"
Richard's jaw clenched. He didn't appreciate being read so easily. But, as much as he hated to admit it, Elsa wasn't wrong.
He had expected Shantel Hale to be nothing but a liability or more accurately a distraction and a storm he had to weather until she inevitably failed and walked away
