Episode 10 – Blood in the Water

Opening Scene: Mumbai's Worli Sea Face – 5:30 AM

The city is barely awake when a jogger stumbles upon something horrifying—a dead body floating near the rocks. The corpse, a young woman in her mid-20s, is dressed in a torn red dress, her face bruised and hands tied with a silk scarf.

The jogger immediately calls the police, and within minutes, Black Squad arrives at the scene.

ACP Sulaiman Qazi, flanked by Inspector Imran Wani and Sub-Inspector Arjun Rathore, steps forward as the waves crash against the rocks.

Qazi: "Another one. And by the looks of it, not just a murder—this was personal."

Imran inspects the body. "Bruising suggests strangulation. The victim was probably thrown into the sea after she was already dead."

Arjun notices something near the rocks. He picks up a broken high-heeled shoe, its strap snapped clean.

Arjun: "Looks like she fought back."

Sub-Inspector Rhea Singh examines the victim's nails. "There's skin under her nails. If she scratched her attacker, we might have DNA."

Qazi signals to the forensic team. "Get her ID. We need to know who she is before we can know why she's dead."

---

Scene 2: Victim Identified

Back at the Crime Branch, the forensic team runs the victim's fingerprints through the database.

Constable Danish Khan rushes in with the report. "Sir, we got a match! The victim is Ananya Kapoor, 26, a journalist working for Mumbai Chronicle."

Imran raises an eyebrow. "A journalist? Maybe she got too close to something she wasn't supposed to."

Arjun checks her records. "She was investigating a real estate scam involving some powerful people in Mumbai. If this is connected, we might be stepping into dangerous territory."

---

Scene 3: The Last Call

Rhea examines Ananya's phone records.

Rhea: "Her last call was to someone named Rohit Verma at 10:45 PM. Call lasted two minutes."

Imran: "Who's Rohit Verma?"

Danish checks. "Her editor."

---

Scene 4: Interrogating Rohit Verma

The squad visits Mumbai Chronicle's office. Rohit, a nervous, middle-aged man, fidgets as ACP Qazi questions him.

Qazi: "When was the last time you spoke to Ananya?"

Rohit: "Last night. She said she had something big—something that could expose a major crime syndicate."

Arjun: "Did she tell you what it was?"

Rohit hesitates. "…No. She said it was too dangerous to discuss over the phone."

Imran narrows his eyes. "And you didn't find it strange when she didn't show up today?"

Rohit stutters. "I—I thought she was just busy."

Rhea: "We'll need to see her desk, emails, and notes."

Rohit gulps. "Of course."

---

Scene 5: The Crime Syndicate Connection

The team searches Ananya's desk and finds a USB drive hidden in a drawer.

Qazi plugs it into a laptop. Inside are secret recordings and documents exposing a real estate scam linked to businessman Rakesh Tandon—a man with known ties to Mumbai's underworld.

Imran: "If she was onto this, Tandon would have wanted her silenced."

Arjun: "Then let's pay him a visit."

---

Scene 6: Showdown at the Club

The squad tracks Rakesh Tandon to an exclusive nightclub. When they arrive, his bodyguards block the way.

Qazi: "Move, or I'll move you."

The guards smirk—until Arjun grabs one by the collar and slams him into a table. The club goes silent.

Imran shoves another guard aside. "We're here for Tandon. Where is he?"

Tandon, sitting in a VIP booth, claps slowly. "Gentlemen, you could've just asked."

Qazi sits across from him. "Ananya Kapoor. Ring any bells?"

Tandon chuckles. "Can't say it does."

Arjun leans forward. "She was about to expose your scam. And now she's dead. That's one hell of a coincidence."

Tandon grins. "Coincidences happen."

Qazi signals Rhea. She plays one of Ananya's recordings on her phone:

Ananya's voice: "…Tandon is behind it. He's laundering money through his properties. And I have proof…"

Tandon's smile disappears.

Imran: "So, still a coincidence?"

Tandon snaps his fingers. His bodyguards pull out guns—but so do Arjun and Imran.

The club erupts into a chaotic shootout. Bullets fly. Arjun takes down two guards, while Imran tackles Tandon as he tries to escape.

Tandon crashes onto a table, groaning.

Qazi stands over him. "You're under arrest, Tandon."

---

Final Scene: Justice Served

Tandon is dragged to the police van.

Rhea: "One less criminal walking free."

Imran: "But Ananya is still dead."

Qazi: "She died for the truth. But at least, she got justice."

The Black Squad watches as the van disappears into the night, knowing that Mumbai's underworld won't stay quiet for long.
