Chapter 2 - A Night of Temptation

EPISODE 2 – A Night of Temptation

Bimbo's face was just inches away from mine. The air between us felt charged, thick with tension. Her eyes held mine, and I could feel my heartbeat racing. Then, just as her lips were about to touch mine—

"Dave!"

A voice shattered the moment.

Bimbo pulled back in shock. I turned to see Ade approaching with a mischievous grin.

"I was just curious about you two," he said. "I didn't see you at the table."

I exhaled, trying to steady my breathing. "We were just getting some fresh air," I replied, masking my frustration.

"Nice one! Make sure you guys don't get too much fresh air oh!" Ade smirked. "Let me get back to the party joor."

He walked away, leaving me standing there, fists clenched. I could still feel Bimbo's presence beside me, but the mood was completely ruined.

She glanced at me briefly before turning and walking back inside without a word.

I was pissed. More at myself than at Ade.

"What just happened?" I muttered under my breath. "We should be kissing right now if not for this stupid Ade!"

I inhaled deeply, trying to shake off the disappointment. "Dave, be a man," I told myself before heading back inside.

The party was still in full swing. As I entered, my eyes immediately found Bimbo. She was seated with Ruth, laughing over something. But then, she turned slightly and caught me staring.

For a moment, we just looked at each other.

There was something about her. Something that made my feelings grow like a palm tree planted by the riverside. Every time I looked at her, she seemed even more beautiful. My mind drifted, imagining her in a wedding dress, standing next to me at the altar.

"Should I just marry her?" The thought crept into my head. "No, it's too early."

I shook the idea off and focused back on reality.

The party finally ended, and the realization hit us—it was late.

"What are we going to do?" Ruth asked, looking concerned.

"Ruth, you can stay at my place. It's safer that way," I offered.

Then I turned to Bimbo, waiting for her answer.

She smiled slightly. "I think I should stay at Dave's place too."

My heart nearly jumped out of my chest.

"Yes, yes, yes!" I screamed internally. "God, I owe You one!"

Trying to act cool, I nodded. "That's a good idea. Let's get a taxi immediately."

We quickly boarded one, and within minutes, we arrived at my place. Just as we stepped inside, heavy rain began pouring down, drumming against the roof like a warning.

"Welcome to my small place," I said, trying not to sound nervous.

She looked around and nodded. "This place isn't bad. You actually have a nice spot."

"Thanks. You can have a seat."

She sat down while I hurried to the kitchen to make her tea. My mind was racing. The rain outside made the room feel colder, and something about the atmosphere felt different—almost intimate.

I quickly grabbed a hoodie from my room.

Returning, I handed it to her. "Put this on. It's cold tonight."

She smiled, taking it from me. But then, without warning, she did something I didn't expect.

Right there in front of me, she peeled off her top and slid out of her short skirt.

I froze.

For a brief moment, I saw her—her toned skin, the soft curve of her waist, the lace of her bra and the matching panties. My entire body went numb.

I should have looked away.

I should have said something.

But I didn't.

She put on the hoodie, pulled it over her head, and then—calmly, as if nothing had just happened—picked up the cup of tea and slowly took a sip.

My brain was short-circuiting.

I swallowed hard, forcing myself to breathe.

I had no idea what would happen next.

But one thing was certain—this night was far from over.
