Ash's POV
Opal's body jerked violently against the hospital bed.
It wasn't just a tremor—it was brutal. Her back arched, her muscles locked in unnatural contortions, her limbs spasming and flailing with terrifying force. The monitors beside her were already fried, screens black and lifeless, wires dangling from ripped ports. The machines sparked—once—then died.
Chaos erupted.
Nurses shouted over one another, hands scrambling to stabilize her. Metal clanged against tile. The lights in the room flickered wildly before going out completely, plunging everything into a flickering red hue from the emergency lights.
"Everyone OUT—now!" Seraphina's voice sliced through the chaos like a blade.
"I'm not leaving her!" Lila screamed, holding onto Griffin as she fought against the nurses.
"We need order in this room!" Seraphina snapped, fire in her tone. "I can't do my job if everyone's in the way! She needs air—space—me!"
Ash didn't move.
