Vincent took his time. He sipped his wine, watching Sloane with quiet amusement, knowing she hated waiting, especially when she knew he had something she wanted.
She set her glass down, tapping her nails against the table. "Enough theatrics, Vincent. What else do you know?"
"Harrington's influence isn't as solid as he wants people to believe. He's overleveraged, trying to expand his own investment firm while keeping a hold on Montgomery Atelier's board. That kind of balancing act?" Vincent tilted his head. "It doesn't last forever."
Sloane absorbed the information, her mind already working. "He's stretched thin."
Vincent nodded. "And if one of those investments fails, he loses credibility. If he loses credibility, he loses leverage. And if he loses leverage…"
Sloane's lips curled into a slow, knowing smile. "He's no longer a threat."
Vincent took another sip of wine, pleased. "Exactly."
She leaned back in her chair, considering.
