The sun shone brightly in the sky, and the sunlight came into the room through the window along with a warm, humid breeze. The sunlight hit the sleeping Isabella, making her creamy skin glow in the sunlight.
Isabella stirred in her sleep and turned around to avoid the sunlight. A strong, cold wind came through the window and touched Isabella's skin, making her shiver.
She frowned and was annoyed at the fact that nature was disturbing her sleep. She tried to open her eyes, but they were too heavy and refused to open.
Isabella thought of sleeping a little more, as she was exhausted. Isabella drowsily pulled the duvet over her body and nuzzled into the bed, trying to go back to sleep.
The twins were so energetic last night, and the energetic twins were very scary. They were very hard to handle. And they drew all the energy from her, leaving her worn out.
That was why she was having such a hard time waking up. And since she didn't have any work to do today, she decided to sleep in. The twins might still be asleep, so she didn't have to worry.
But the back of her mind was nagging at her. It was like she had forgotten something, but she was too sleepy to ponder it.
When Isabella fell back to sleep, the door of her room slowly opened, and two heads peeked inside. Seeing their mother still on the bed, Angelo and Aria smiled and slowly tiptoed into the room.
They stood in front of the bed and pouted when they saw their mommy was still asleep. They needed to wake their mommy. They had a special task to do today.
An idea suddenly popped into the twins' heads, and they looked at each other. They smirked, realizing that both of them thought of the same thing. They nodded at each other before taking a few steps back slowly and jumping on top of Isabella.
Isabella yelped and woke up in panic. She opened her eyes while her heart was pounding fast and her head was buzzing. She sat up with her messy hair and looked around, scared.
The twins' giggling filled the room, and Isabella breathed heavily in relief when she saw them. She relaxed with the knowledge that nothing had happened. When she calmed down, she groaned as her sleep was ruined.
She looked at her mischievous children and glared at them playfully, making them laugh more. She smiled softly seeing them laugh. Suddenly a mischievous smirk formed on Isabella's lips, and she muttered, her tone playful,
"You little devils."
The twins stopped laughing when they heard Isabella. Their eyes widened, understanding what was coming for them. But before they could react, Isabella tucked them under her and showered them with kisses.
The sound of laughter echoed in the air, and Isabella stopped when she noticed that they were almost out of breath from laughing.
Angelo and Aria caught their breath, and Isabella pulled them into her lap. Isabella looked at the wall clock to see that the twins had woken up early today. She looked at them and asked softly,
"Why did my cuties wake up so early today? You should have slept a little more. You don't have anything practical to do today."
The twins looked at each other and then at Isabella. Realizing that their mother forgot about their outing, Aria pouted and whined,
"Mommy, did you forget?"
Isabella frowned in confusion and asked while tilting her head,
"Forget what, sweetheart?"
Angelo looked at Isabella and uttered cutely, his tone calm,
"Today we are supposed to go to our new kindergarten for our admission, Mommy."
Isabella clicked her tongue at Angelo's words, finally remembering what she had forgotten. She cursed herself in her mind for forgetting it.
The twins were looking forward to going to their new kindergarten. That was why, in excitement, they woke up early today. She looked at the twins guiltily and pleaded,
"I apologize, darling. Mommy forgot about it. Please forgive me."
Angelo nodded in understanding and said,
"It's okay, Mommy. You don't have to apologize. We still have time."
Aria nodded, agreeing with Angelo. Isabella smiled and whispered softly,
"Thank you, my babies. Give me some time. Mommy will get ready. And in the meantime, you guys should freshen up and get ready too. The maids will help you, okay?"
The twins nodded and kissed Isabella's cheeks before sliding down the bed and going to their room to get ready.
After they left, Isabella stepped out of the bed and went to the bathroom. She stripped down to nothing and stepped into the shower.
It had been two days since they returned to Italy. Isabella decided to take a nice rest before starting everything.
Tomorrow she was going to join her company, and the day after she planned to join Andrew to meet the man who knew the killer. They decided to move faster. They couldn't wait any longer and couldn't waste any more time either.
Isabella walked into her walk-in wardrobe and put on an elegant white dress that fell to her knees. She took her purse and made her way downstairs.
The twins had just sat on the dining table when Isabella walked inside. They had their breakfast and went to the car. Isabella made the twins sit comfortably in the backseats, and she sat in the driver's seat before starting to drive.
In an hour, they had reached their destination. Isabella helped the twins get out of the car, and they made their way inside. The principal of the school was waiting for Isabella at the entrance, and upon seeing her, she stepped forward and greeted her.
"Hello, Miss Russo. I'm Mia Lastra. I'm the principal of Sunshine Kindergarten. It's our honour that you have chosen our school." Mia uttered professionally with a smile.
Isabella wondered how she had known that she was coming. But she didn't peer into it much and greeted her with a smile. They walked inside the school while Mia asked, her tone eager and hurried,
"Shall we finish the admission process first?"
Isabella looked at her and murmured steadily,
"No, I want to look around first."
Isabella wanted to check out the kindergarten first. She researched this kindergarten and found that it has the best environment and security. And she wanted to see it herself first. Moreover, she would only admit the twins here if they liked it.
She looked at her little angels, who were busy looking around with excited and sparkling eyes. Isabella smiled warmly, seeing her excited minions.
"Okay, I will show you around. Please, this way," Mia said politely.
Isabella and the twins followed Mia as she took them around the kindergarten for a tour. Isabella was impressed as she saw everything. The place was safer and had many facilities. She was satisfied.
When the tour came to an end, Isabella looked at her minions and asked softly,
"Did you like the school? Do you want to be a part of this?"
The twins were amazed and satisfied with the kindergarten. Aria nodded excitedly and uttered,
"Yes, Mommy. Aria liked it."
"Me too. I liked it, Mommy." Angelo muttered.
Isabella smiled and said softly,
"Okay, let's get you guys admitted."
Isabella followed Mia to her office and finished the admissions process.
"The little cuties can start tomorrow, Miss Russo," Mia said with a smile.
"That's good to hear. Then I will take my leave," Isabella muttered.
"Okay, have a nice day," Mia said politely.
"Have a nice day."
Isabella and the twins left the office room and made their way to the car. As they were near the car, Aria looked at Isabella cutely and said sweetly,
"I want ice cream, Mommy."
"Me too, Mommy. Please," Angelo said softly.
Isabella wanted to refuse, but the puppy's eyes they were giving made it impossible for her to refuse. She sighed in defeat and muttered,
"Okay, let's have ice cream."
The twins squawked in excitement, and Isabella smiled at their happiness. While they were in their own little happy world, they didn't notice the pair of eyes that were looking at them.
A pair of golden eyes was looking at Isabella and the twins with pure admiration and adoration. Nicholas stared at his little family with sparkling eyes. His heart swelled with warmth as he saw them laughing.
It was the first time he saw his children. Nicholas couldn't take his eyes off them. He was enjoying seeing his loved ones, but it got ruined when a voice pulled his attention from them.
"The twins have been admitted to the school," Luca informed Nicholas, as he had just hung up the call from the principal, Mia.
"Good," Nicholas said, satisfied.
From the information Luca gathered, Nicholas got to know that Isabella planned to admit the twins to this kindergarten. And Isabella was unaware that it was under Nicholas. Basically, it belonged to him.
Nicholas had Luca call the principal the night before and order her to take good care of Isabella and make sure the twins got admitted there. It was part of Nicholas's plan.
And now that the twins had been admitted, it would be easy for Nicholas to meet them. He would use this chance to win his children's hearts. It would be easy for him to have his little moon if he had his children by his side.
As Isabella placed the twins in the car and was about to go inside the car, Nicholas stared at them and promised darkly,
"We will be united soon. We will meet soon. You will be in my grasp soon, my little moon. SOON."
