The prologue

Authors thought: This is just for better understanding, can be skipped if you like picking all the hard to understand info on the way.

"The gods do not die. They slumber beneath the earth, their bodies shattered, their blood pooling in the cracks of the world. And we, the Harvesters, drink deep."

There is power in the blood of gods. It seeps into the roots of the world, lingers in forgotten ruins, and stains the battlefield where titans once fell. Those who dare to consume it become more than human.

But power is never free.

The first sip awakens the body. The second awakens the mind. The third awakens them—the gods whose blood you have stolen.

This is the law of Hunger.

The Hunger Tiers

🔹 Hunger I – The Awakening

The first taste of divine blood ignites the soul. Your body strengthens, your senses sharpen, and a fraction of the god's essence clings to you. Minor abilities emerge—a whisper of the power that once ruled the heavens.

🔹 Hunger II – The Calling

The god's voice stirs within you. Their whispers invade your thoughts, their will bleeding into your own. The power grows, but so does the bond. Some claim they can resist. Most are wrong.

🔹 Hunger III – Harbinger

You are no longer just a vessel. You are a Herald of your god's will. Your emotions become entwined, your victories shared, your failures felt. The strongest Harbingers wield power that can shatter armies, but at a cost—every battle, every moment of weakness brings them closer to losing control.

🔹 Hunger IV – Covenant

The god does not whisper anymore. It speaks. It commands. It offers. Missions appear in the mind, like a system of divine will. Complete them, and the god rewards you. Refuse, and the god punishes you. This is where many falter, becoming willing servants rather than Harvesters.

🔹 Hunger V – The Eternal Vessel

You are no longer yourself. You are it. The god walks in your body, sees through your eyes, speaks with your tongue. Some accept this fate, believing they have ascended. Others fight, clawing at their own flesh to hold on to their humanity.

None succeed.

The Shackles – Defying the Gods

To steal a god's power is to risk becoming its vessel. But there exists a way to resist—the Shackles.

Forged from the remnants of divine chains, Shackles bind the soul, locking the god's influence away. Those who wear them can rise through the Hunger without losing themselves. But the cost is steep—Shackles limit the full strength of a god's gift, forcing the Harvester to rely on wit, skill, and sheer defiance.

Most fear the gods.

Most bow to them.

But the strongest Harvesters wear Shackles not to serve—but to rule.

And in the depths of an abandoned harvest site, buried beneath the bones of a forgotten war, a nameless scavenger stumbles upon the blood of a dead trickster.

His name is Dante Hollow.

And he is about to drink.
