Chapter 94 - Chapter 94: Training

In the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, numerous small balls were hovering in mid - air.

The young wizards on the ground were casting the Iron Armor Charm to ward off the balls that might Attack from the air at any moment.

The young wizards who successfully defended cheered happily, while those who failed let out a scream and were left with a mark on their bodies.

Light was also controlling the balls in the air orderly, and the less - skilled young wizards were attacked more times.

After a class, almost every young wizard had learned the Iron Armor Charm. Even the rather clumsy Neville could cast it stably.

Except for poor Ron. His wand was broken. Every time he cast a spell, a puff of black smoke came out, and sometimes he even got knocked back by his own spell.

"Ring!" The bell for the end of class rang.

With the reluctant expressions of the young wizards, the balls hovering in the air transformed back into desks.

After the practice of Spells, the young wizards burst into laughter when they saw everyone around with marks on their faces and bodies, looking extremely disheveled.

Light remembered that he had a Transfiguration class next.

He glanced at the young wizards, who were still laughing merrily despite being in a complete mess from head to toe.

Light waved his wand and cast a group healing spell. Amid their exclamations, he restored their clothes to their original state.

At the same time, Light suddenly received a message from the stone stele: "Completed the mileage of 'Teaching on Behalf of the Teacher'. Mileage Points increased by 1."

"This is unexpected good news. I can use these points to upgrade my Potions skill to level 9."

"Light, let's go! We're going to be late for the Transfiguration class if we don't hurry," Harry Potter's voice woke Light up from his thoughts.

He noticed that almost everyone in the classroom had left, clearly showing how much the young wizards feared Professor McGonagall.

Led by Harry Potter, Light quickened his pace and managed to reach the classroom just in time before the class started.

...

Time passed quickly, and it was already 3 p.m. After putting away the homework assigned by Professor McGonagall, Light said goodbye to Harry Potter and the other two, then got up and left The Library.

After walking out of the castle gate, Light headed towards Hagrid's hut.

He walked briskly and could see the tall Hagrid from afar, concentrating on arranging ten boxes in front of the hut.

When Light saw the boxes, his face lit up. He quickened his steps and shouted, "Hagrid, I'm here!"

Hearing the voice, Hagrid suddenly looked up, stopped what he was doing, and turned around, happily waving at Light.

"How are the Boggarts?" Light asked impatiently as he approached.

Hagrid also looked very happy. He pulled Light over, pointed at the ten large boxes placed in the open space in front of the hut, and began to introduce the situation.

"These are the Boggarts. I've injected them with the prepared potions. Once we open the boxes, they'll transform into Thestrals stably."

Looking at the ten pitch - black boxes in the open space, Light couldn't help swallowing hard and asked,

"So what's next! What do you need me to do?"

Hearing this, Hagrid burst into laughter. In a light - hearted and honest tone, he said:

"Help me open all the box doors and then inject them with the potion that can ensure pregnancy."

After saying that, he handed a small box to Light and admonished, "Don't worry. Their states have stabilized. They won't change because of fear for the time being."

"But release them one by one and inject them with the potion. Otherwise, they'll run around!"

After giving instructions to Light, Hagrid turned around and led the Thestrals over.

Following Hagrid's advice, Light held the potion and cautiously opened the box door.

A puff of black smoke drifted out of the box and transformed into a hideous - looking horse in the open space in front of the box. Except for the smaller wings, it looked basically the same as a Thestral.

Light picked up the syringe filled with the potion and stabbed it into the Boggart. Although it seemed that the syringe had penetrated its body, the feeling in his hand was like stabbing into thin air.

Without much thought, he slowly pushed the potion into the Boggart in front of him.

Strangely, as the potion was injected, the Boggart's illusory figure gradually became solid, taking on the texture of flesh, blood, and fur.

At this time, Hagrid also led a Thestral over. Before Hagrid could do anything...

The Thestral that was led, seeing the Boggart that had just turned from illusory to real, eagerly walked forward quickly, jumped, and straddled the Boggart.

The ridden Boggart didn't move at all and quietly endured it.

Light was startled by this sight and looked at Hagrid. "So straightforward?"

Hagrid said with a satisfied look on his face, "That's how straightforward it is. Let's continue! They won't finish so soon."

Seeing that Hagrid was used to it, Light didn't say anything more and continued to walk to the next box and repeated the previous process.

The whole process was repeated nine times. Fortunately, nothing unexpected happened!

After finishing their tasks, Hagrid and Light stood aside and waited for them to finish.

Looking at the ten pairs of Boggarts and Thestrals moving in the open space, Light couldn't help but complain:

"Is this something we can watch for free? Strictly speaking, I'm still a minor! Damn it."

"Pay? Minor?" Hagrid seemed to have heard Light's complaint and asked curiously.

"Never mind! What's our next job after they're done?"

Light didn't explain but abruptly changed the subject, obviously not wanting to dwell on this issue.

Sure enough, compared to Light's complaint, Hagrid was more willing to talk about the breeding of magical creatures. He excitedly explained the next process.

"After they're done, we need to keep injecting the Boggarts with the potion to stabilize their states and encourage them to give birth to embryos."

"This won't take long because Boggarts give birth very quickly."

"But we need to keep an eye on their states at all times, in case..."

Before Hagrid could finish speaking, a Thestral finished its 'happy time'! It stood beside the Boggart, its legs wobbly.

"Now's the time."

Hagrid quickly stepped forward and injected the prepared potion into the Boggart at once.

The Boggart's body, after being injected, began to twist, flickering on and off, extremely unstable!

Finally, after several transformations, it stabilized and turned back into a puff of black smoke and flew back into the box.

After Hagrid injected the potion, he met Light's puzzled gaze and said,

"This means it worked. If it fails, the Boggart won't change. It'll wait until the potion's effect wears off and then turn back to its original form."

Right after answering Light's question, another pair finished injecting the potion to the Boggart.

Seeing this, Hagrid quickly stepped forward to inject the potion. This time, the Boggart didn't change, clearly a failure.

Next, the remaining eight pairs finished their work one by one.

After Hagrid completed his work, a total of four Boggarts turned back into black smoke and returned to the box. The rest all failed.
