Several years in the future…
"Froggie! Hop! Hop!" The voice of a toddler cries out joyfully.
"Your eldest daughter is just as bossy as you are." Gamabunta grumbled as he sighed and hopped around for the blonde child.
Satsuki shook her head in amusement. She still couldn't believe that there was a blonde Uchiha. Setsuna was spitting images of her maternal grandfather. She had the classic blonde hair and Uzumaki/Namikaze facial features. She had inherited Satsuki's onyx eyes and skin tone though. Not to mention, Setsuna had Naruko's whisker markings.
"Hey! What's that supposed to mean?!" Naruko demanded and she jumped up and down in outrage.
Satsuki smirked. She did like it when her wife got flustered. Sometimes she would start jumping like that and she loved the view. Her breasts still jiggled quite nicely. Motherhood certainly agreed with her figure.
"What are you smirking about, Satchan?" Her wife demanded.
"Mama Satsuki likes jiggles." Narumi said with a giggle and Satsuki mentally groaned.
Narumi was her youngest daughter and her princess. She was very proud of her advanced vocabulary for her age and how perceptive she was. Unfortunately, she had no filter. She was like all other two year olds in that respect.
Her hair was raven black like hers and she had her facial features. Her skin was a shade or two tanner than her own, most likely Naruko's influence. Anyone could tell who her mothers was with just one look though. Narumi had Naruko's sapphire blue eyes.
"Satchan, what have you been telling our daughter?!" Naruko yelled at her.
"I didn't tell her that! Narumi is just really aware of her surroundings! That's all!" She said defensively as she shook her head and scooped up her daughter in her arms.
It was a move of self-preservation really. Naruko wouldn't attack her, with their daughter in her arms. There were a lot of advantages that came with motherhood and that just happened to be one of them.
"Oh that is SUCH cheap trick." Naruko grumbled, after seeing Satsuki take their youngest daughter into her arms.
"Cheap, but effective. I know you aren't going to try to Rasengan me when I'm holding Narumi." She said smugly.
"Setsuna-chan, can you say pervert? Mama Satsuki is a pervert. She's worse than Kakashi-sensei sometimes." She coaxes her eldest daughter.
Setsuna tilts her head to the side and coos at Naruko. Then she promptly turns her attention back to the giant toad, giggling as the Summon hopped around for her enjoyment. Naruko shook her head and sighed.
"Like you aren't," Satsuki said with a smirk as she kissed the top of Narumi's head.
It was fun to tease Naruko. She always fell for it, but she was really going to have to teach Narumi about secrets at some point. If she kept saying everything that she observed, she was going to get in big trouble.
"That is so not the point. Oh hey, Gaara-chan!" She said brightly as the redhead approached them.
Satsuki tilts her head to the side. What was Gaara doing in the Leaf? She and Gaara had learned to tolerate each other over the years, but they weren't exactly friends.
The redhead knew that Naruko loved Satsuki. So she couldn't attack her. Satsuki knew that Gaara was Naruko's friend. So she couldn't attack the Kazekage either. That meant that they had been forced to find a way to coexist. Neither woman was particularly happy about that fact, but they had found a way to live with it.
"Just visiting to discuss the trading terms. Naruko, we do this every year and every year, you forget." The other female kage teased her.
Satsuki smirked. That was true. Naruko wasn't the most practical ninja. She was an amazing fighter and she loved her village fiercely, but the mundane details of keeping the village running still escaped her at times.
"Oh right. Sorry. You know how it is. I have my hands full with Satsuki, me being Hokage, and Satsuki." She said with a laugh.
"You said Satsuki twice." Gaara observed and Naruko blushed.
"Well you kinda need two hands to deal with her. You know how my wife is." She mumbled in embarrassment.
Satsuki smirked. Naruko was adorable when she blushed. She walked over with their daughter still in her arms and kissed her wife's cheek.
"You still blush like a Genin." She murmured and Naruko grumbled.
"I do NOT blush like a Genin! Take that back! Take that back, right now!" She demands and fails.
"Yes, you do." Satsuki said smugly.
Gaara shook her head. She would never understand how their relationship worked. They still fought over small things, but it was clear they were also obsessively in love with each other.
"Naruko, would you like to head to your office with me? We can get the paperwork out of the way quickly." She suggested.
"Alright. Satchan can handle the girls for a couple hours." Naruko said as she bounds off with the redhead.
Naruko smiled as she did. If there were three things that Satsuki was VERY good at it was fighting, sex, and motherhood. She knew that she could fully handle their very active toddlers. It was quite impressive really.
"I still have a hard time picturing her home alone with two small children." Gaara said.
"She's been wrapped around their fingers ever since the day they were born. I know it sounds weird, but around them she's really an overgrown mama bear. She'll be fine."
Ever since their daughters were born, Satsuki had been completely wrapped around their little fingers. It was pretty funny actually. One of the most powerful ninjas to have ever lived was completely powerless in the face of two adorable toddlers's tears.
"Well I'm glad that you finally succeeded in knocking some sense into her." Gaara said as they arrived at the Hokage Office and began working on the trade details.
"Me too! It took a long time, but I got my Satchan trained now!" She said with a vigorous nod.
Meanwhile Satsuki watches as the twins play with the Summons. Even the grumpy toad couldn't be in a foul mood around their children. Setsuna and Narumi were simply too adorable that to be a possibility.
"What a drag. Naruko is going to kill you when she finds out that you are letting your kids around such dangerous animals." Shikamaru said with a yawn as he walked over to Satsuki.
"Oh she knows. What are you doing here anyway?" Satsuki asked.
"We're here to tell you about an offer." Kakashi said, flickering behind Satsuki.
Shikamaru raises an eyebrow. He had a hard time believing that the overprotective Naruko would allow her two toddlers near animals that could eat them. It didn't make any sense.
"Are you serious? She doesn't have any problem with the twins being around them?" He asked.
"I'm serious. The toad is hers. They would never harm our children. Again, what are you two doing here?" Satsuki demands.
It was rare to see Kakashi without Sakura now. The other newlyweds were inseparable. Damn that bouquet and garter belt stuff really worked, Satsuki thinks to herself.
"Just wanted to let you know there is an opening in the Interrogation Division. It's still not a combat role. You'd be on time for dinner every night, but it's probably more intellectually stimulating to someone like you than teaching." Shikamaru said.
Satsuki blinks. She wasn't sure what she had been expecting, but that wasn't it. Shikamaru was offering her a different job. A couple years ago, she would have jumped at the chance, but not now.
"Thanks, but I'm good. I don't really want Setsuna and Narumi to know that their mother spends all day torturing people for answers." She said.
"That surprises me. I would have thought you'd to be in a role where your aggression would be encouraged. What a drag. I'll just have to find someone else. Where's Naruko?" Shikamaru asked.
"She's with Gaara. Kage business. They'll be back soon." Satsuki said.
Shikamaru nodded. Well that was good. It looked like things were finally settling down. People were still in shock about the stunt that Satsuki had pulled against the Kages, but life was getting back to normal.
"I know that Naruko's never really cared much about political power for the sake of power, but I'm surprised that you didn't at least want to become the Fire Daimyo." He admitted.
"That thought did cross my mind as well." Kakashi agreed.
"I never had any interest in that. I just wanted to kill Itachi and restore my Clan. I did both. The first part I'll always regret, but never the second one." Satsuki said.
"Good to know. Well I'm gonna go then. Give my best to Naruko-chan." He said as he headed off with Shikamaru, who nodded in agreement.
Satsuki nodded. She smiled down at Narumi and Setsuna scooping them up. They quickly climbed onto their respective positions on her shoulders. Narumi on the left and Setsuna on the right.
"Let's go surprise Mama Naruko. She ought to be almost done with Gaara." She said and her children giggled as the Uchiha gave them their piggyback ride.
It didn't take them long to arrive at her office. Satsuki didn't bother to knock. She just walked in with the twins on her back. Satsuki did take more than a small amount of amusement at the shocked expressions on the faces of everyone they walked by.
Some things would never change. The twins were still two and still most of the village couldn't wrap their head around the fact that Satsuki was apparently a doting mother. A doting mother who didn't mind letting them ride on her back.
"Ah Satsuki. We were just finishing." Gaara said and she nodded.
"You are really impatient sometimes." Naruko said with a laugh as she walked over and kissed her.
"Well I thought you might want to know that Shikamaru just gave me a job offer. I could work in the Intelligence Division. More specifically interrogation." She said.
Naruko blinked. Uh oh. She wasn't entirely sure how she felt about that. Satsuki had mellowed out a lot since becoming a mother, but she couldn't lie. Naruko was worried that one day she might go back to her old ways.
That thought was unbearable. While she could be an arrogant jerk sometimes, she was still her loving wife.
"What'd you say?" She asked.
"I told him that I'll just stick to the Academy. I'd rather not have to explain to our children what I do for a living." Satsuki said and the twins giggled in response.
Satsuki knew that they didn't understand a word that she was saying. That was something of a relief. They shouldn't be exposed to such things yet. She wanted them to remain innocent for as long as possible.
"Oh good. I mean you've gotten really good at the whole teaching thing." Naruko said with a smile.
"Goodbye, Naruko. Satsuki. I'll see all of you later. I'm afraid that I must be going. My wife is waiting for me and I don't like leaving her alone in the hotel room. She says she'd be bored to tears listening to the finer details about trade though." Gaara said.
"I still can't believe you got married." Satsuki said with a smirk.
Old habits die hard. She couldn't resist taking a swipe at Gaara. She knew that the redhead had valid reasons to be skeptical of her. She and Naruko had been happily married for years now though.
Honestly, Satsuki would have expected Gaara to have cut her some slack by this point. That hadn't happened. So she gave as good as she got. They both loved Naruko, just in different ways. For Gaara, it was the love of a sister. For Satsuki, it was the love of a lover. Naturally, they were going to clash.
"I could say the same to you!" Gaara growls at her as she heads off.
"Satchan, you really should learn to be nicer." Naruko said as she shook her head in disapproval.
"If you wanted me to be nice, you wouldn't have married me." Satsuki said smugly as she kissed her cheek.
Naruko laughed and headed home with Satsuki. She had no idea what she was going to do with her beloved Satchan. She loved her, but sometimes she needed some sense slapped into her.
"That's not entirely true, you're very nice to me." She said as they put the twins to bed and read them a bedtime story.
"And they lived happily ever after. Naruko, I can't believe you made me read that." Satsuki said, after she finished the story.
"Oh come on. It's a classic." Naruko said with a laugh.
Seeing Uchiha Satsuki read their toddlers a bedtime story was still such a surreal experience. She remembered a time when the entire Five Nations had been hunting for her head. Not that long ago, she probably would have leveled Konoha. Not now though.
"Oh you like classics, huh?" Satsuki demanded with a smirk.
"I'm not entirely certain what your Mate is plotting, partner, but I will run now." Kurama informed her.
"Geez, you think?!"Naruko replied sarcastically as she does exactly that.
It didn't take long for Satsuki to chase after her. The nice thing about being a legendary ninja was that she was fast. Unfortunately or fortunately, Satsuki was as well. Her lover soon catches up with her and manages to pin Naruko to the bed.
"I'd say this is a classic, wouldn't you?" Satsuki asked Naruko smugly.
"Maybe." She admitted and squirmed underneath her.
Satsuki really was a good pouncer. Probably because she got a lot of practice at it. For such an introverted individual who had shunned all bonds for years, she was surprisingly affectionate. (Well when she wanted to be.)
"Just a maybe?" She asked as she kissed along her jaw line.
"Alright. It's a classic. I'm really glad that you didn't take that job though. I don't want to lose you again." She said.
Satsuki blinked and looked at Naruko in confusion. She wasn't sure what she was talking about. Her wife sounded mostly relieved, but also afraid. That slight waver in her voice said it all.
"Naruko, you're never going to lose me. Not again. I promise." She whispered as she caressed her cheek.
"Good. You have a tendency of getting carried away and I didn't want you to get lost in the darkness again." She mumbled.
Satsuki sighs. So that was it. That was what she was worried about. Sadly, she couldn't blame her. She once promised to stay with her but she had left and she had once been lost to the darkness. It was only natural that she'd be afraid of such things.
"Naruko, you and the twins are my everything. I'm not going anywhere. I love the three of you more than you could ever imagine. And it doesn't hurt that you still have a VERY nice jiggle." She told her with a smirk and kissed her.
The blonde kisses back eagerly. Satsuki was a really good kisser. It was so easy to get lost in her kisses.
"You're my everything too. When I first saw you, you were like me. You were alone. I hadn't ever seen anyone else like me before. Everyone else had someone." She murmured.
"That was true, a long time ago. That's not the case anymore. Now we have our family." Satsuki told her.
"Mmm. There was a time that I hated you. You separate yourself from everyone who wants to be friends with you. I just wanted you to notice me. Then we became rivals and friends. You were my first kiss. Well actually, you were my first everything and I love you." She said in a rush.
Satsuki shook her head in amusement. Naruko really was adorable when she babbled. She had no idea how someone so innocent was a ninja. Well she was innocent in some ways, in other ways she was definitely a vixen.
"I feel the same way. I guess for a long time that I just saw you as annoying. You just wouldn't leave me alone. I didn't realize that it was a call for help back then. I think I first started to realize what you meant to me during the fight with Haku. When I was about to die, you were the only person that I was thinking about." She admitted.
"That's really sweet in a morbid sort of way." Naruko said as she flipped them and pinned her underneath her.
"Naruko?" She was confused.
"Satchan, wanna play?" She teased with a smile.
Satsuki smirked. God, she loved this woman. Well maybe she should say women. The clones were back.
"Oh you." She said as she soundproofed the room and kissed her wife (or should she say wives?).
"I love you." She whispered between kisses.
"I love you too." Satsuki whispered back as she deepened the kiss.
The rest of the night passed in a blur of tangled limbs and heated moans.
