A bystander who had been watching the commotion walked over and casually sat beside Luo Wei.
"My name is Bart. Mind if I ask you something?"
Bart was a young man with golden hair, though his attempt at a mustache gave him an oddly flamboyant appearance.
"What is it?" Luo Wei muttered absently, still lost in thought.
"That guy mentioned Holy Light just now. What exactly is Holy Light?" Bart asked curiously.
Luo Wei was silent for a long moment before finally answering.
"Holy Light… is a power beyond the reach of mere mortals."
Bart frowned. "But we're gods."
"…Maybe," Luo Wei replied, his mind still elsewhere.

Later that night, Luo Wei lay on his bed, tossing and turning. He felt restless, his frustration growing until he finally rolled over and muttered a string of curses under his breath.
Unable to sleep, he pulled out the Saint of Kings and flipped to the page containing Book of Experience: Kobold Miner. Without hesitation, he activated it and entered the experience space once more.

"You no take candle!"
The cry rang out the moment Luo Wei materialized inside the dimly lit, narrow mine.
The kobold miner charged at him, brandishing its mining pick.
Luo Wei had been holding back his frustration, and now he exploded into action with a roar, lunging at the creature.
However, the cramped mine tunnel threw him off. The ceiling was too low—even the slightest jump caused him to hit his head. Meanwhile, the short-statured kobold moved effortlessly, weaving through the space like it was made for it.
To make things worse, Luo Wei was unarmed.
The battle ended quickly. The kobold struck him down with its pickaxe.

Luo Wei gritted his teeth. Again!
He reactivated the Book of Experience and re-entered the training space.

"You no take candle!"
The kobold's cry was identical to before.
This time, as the creature swung its pickaxe, Luo Wei was ready.
But the attack was still faster than he expected—he took a hard hit to the abdomen, pain searing through his body.
Even though the experience space wasn't real, the pain felt just as intense as in the real world. He gasped but forced himself to endure.
Using the opportunity, he grabbed hold of the kobold's mining pick and yanked it with all his strength.
The weapon flew out of the kobold's hands, clattering across the cave floor.
Now, both of them were unarmed.
The balance shifted.
Luo Wei wasted no time—he tackled the kobold, knocking it to the ground. Then, with both fists, he launched a relentless assault, pounding into the creature.
Boom!
After a series of brutal punches, the kobold miner let out a final whimper before vanishing into a wisp of smoke.
At the same time, a faintly glowing page materialized on the ground.
Luo Wei caught his breath, then bent down and picked it up.
