"So that was the feeling of switching personalities just now."
Raising his arms and looking at his body as he regained control, Raymond now had a basic understanding of what it meant to switch personalities.
When he switched to another personality, he would temporarily lose control of his body, but his consciousness remained inside. He wouldn't black out, and his vision and hearing were unaffected, allowing him to remain aware of everything that was happening around him.
During this time, he could communicate with the alternate personality and switch back whenever he wanted.
Although he didn't share memories with his alternate personality, he could sense its thoughts. For example, right now, he could clearly feel what Kuro was thinking.
"It's somewhat similar to the ancient technique of 'spirit possession,' except instead of summoning deities, I'm borrowing the personas of legends from different worlds…" Raymond mused.
Now that he had a rough understanding of how personality switching worked, his thoughts began to drift.
"Kuro's combat skills were considered average, even in the mid-tier fantasy world of One Piece. Any pirate strong enough to enter the Grand Line could probably take him down. In this Marvel world, where literal gods exist, he's even less remarkable…"
"But compared to street-level heroes and villains, he might not be that bad. As long as I don't act recklessly, he should be useful in most situations."
"I just wonder if there's a limit to how often I can switch personalities, or if I can do it whenever I want." Raymond crossed his arms and rubbed his chin in thought.
Compared to One Piece, the Marvel Universe was a high-level fantasy world—one that was insanely powerful.
However, for regular people, especially those living on Earth, it was relatively safe—definitely much safer than the chaotic world of One Piece.
After all, when major threats appeared, there were always powerful heroes to deal with them. Most of the time, the side of justice had the upper hand, meaning ordinary people didn't have to live in constant fear.
Having a secondary personality at Kuro's level was already enough to give Raymond some peace of mind.
Of course, that only applied as long as he didn't provoke David. If David lost control, then even if Raymond had a secondary personality as strong as a Yonko, it still might not help.
Now that he had a general understanding of how switching personalities worked, Raymond realized there was one more important question—were there any restrictions on how often he could switch?
"I'll have to do more tests to find out."
With that decision made, Raymond activated the personality switch mode once again.

In Washington, D.C., the Triskelion was one of the most mysterious buildings in the city. Even the locals didn't know much about it.
That was because the government had classified it as a military-restricted zone, making it nearly impossible for ordinary people to get close.
However, only a select few knew the truth—this place wasn't actually under military jurisdiction. It didn't belong to the U.S. Armed Forces at all.
Instead, it was the headquarters of a global, semi-official organization—S.H.I.E.L.D.
Even the U.S. government and military couldn't enter freely. They had to submit a request in advance, much like how the United Nations headquarters operated.
Of course, S.H.I.E.L.D. maintained good relations with the U.S. government.
Although S.H.I.E.L.D. was not directly controlled by the U.S., it was overseen by the World Security Council, which consisted of representatives from several superpowers and key nations.
As the leading superpower, the U.S. held significant influence within the council.
For this reason, S.H.I.E.L.D. would avoid direct conflict with the U.S. government unless absolutely necessary.
…
At that moment, inside the director's office on the top floor of the Triskelion, the current director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury—also known as the infamous one-eyed commander—was frowning as he asked:
"Do we know who's behind this?"
"We're not entirely sure yet, but based on the evidence we've found, it's most likely the Rising Tide group," replied Agent Phil Coulson, one of Fury's most trusted subordinates.
"The hacker group that's been tracking us?" Deputy Director Maria Hill, who was also in the room, looked surprised.
"Yes."
Coulson nodded before adding, "From what I know, Rising Tide has always been focused on exposing secrets that governments try to hide—similar to Julian Assange."
"But for some reason, lately, they've been targeting us specifically, and they seem determined to break through our defenses. This isn't their usual style."
Fury tapped his finger lightly on the desk, deep in thought. "So you suspect there's someone manipulating them from behind the scenes?"
"It's very possible," Coulson said. "Groups like Rising Tide don't have a specific enemy—they usually have plenty of targets to choose from. But their sudden obsession with us, despite the high risk, doesn't make much sense."
"My guess is that someone approached them and hired them to hack into our database. That would explain their sudden shift in focus."
Fury turned to Hill. "What do you think?"
"I agree with Coulson. This situation doesn't seem simple." Hill shrugged.
Fury nodded slightly and then asked Coulson, "Have we confirmed which data might have been leaked?"
"We've got a pretty clear picture. I've already sent the details to your terminal."
"Oh? Let me take a look."
Fury placed his hand on the desk and activated the built-in screen. His eye scanned the information quickly.
A few moments later he looked up. "All right, I understand the situation. Coulson, I'm assigning you to track down Rising Tide. Take as many agents as you need. But once you find them, don't make any moves right away—report back to me first."
"Yes, sir!"
Coulson nodded at the order and left the office.
When he was gone, Hill turned to Fury. "Something else is going on, isn't it? You wouldn't send Coulson away just for that."
"Is my acting really that bad?" Fury raised an eyebrow.
"What do you think?" Hill smirked.
"Alright, fine. Let's get serious." Fury cleared his throat, then his expression became serious.
"I suspect their real target is Project T.A.H.I.T.I."
"What? Project T.A.H.I.T.I.? Are you sure?" Hill's expression changed. "But I thought you already deleted all records of that project from the database?"
"I erased the detailed files, yes. But there are always traces that can't be completely hidden—things like personnel movement records and budget allocations."
Fury's face was grim. "The leaked data covers a lot of areas, and there's no direct evidence proving that Project T.A.H.I.T.I. is their goal."
"But based on my experience and gut instinct, I'm convinced that's exactly what they're after."
Hearing this, Hill's expression grew more serious. "If you're making this call, then the possibility is high. And if they even know about Project T.A.H.I.T.I...."
She trailed off, not finishing the sentence. The implications were heavy, and she knew Fury understood what she meant—there was no need to spell it out.
