"Lissy, there you are!" Rosalia's voice rang out from barely a meter away. Felicity stopped typing, pocketed her phone, and glanced at her seatmate.

"I owe you one! You saved my day! And I didn't even get caught!" Rosalia practically glowed with satisfaction.

Felicity shrugged with a smile. "Don't worry about it, I was happy to help. The test was hard anyway."

"And you even knew exactly when Mr. Hawthorne would turn away! Seriously, do you have some kind of sixth sense?" Rosalia's voice was still filled with admiration as waves of students passed by. Felicity reflexively returned their smiles and nods.

Rosalia leaned casually against the wall and tilted her head toward Felicity. "You know, we haven't talked that much before, but I never would've guessed you were this popular."

"I never really paid attention to that," Felicity laughed.

"Hey, a few of us are grabbing something to eat after school. Want to join? I'm really grateful, so my treat."

Felicity hesitated for a moment before nodding. "I'd love to come, but you don't have to treat me. I just like helping people."

Rosalia let out an appreciative sigh. "No wonder everyone likes you."

"I'll meet you at the entrance!" Felicity waved as she headed to her next class. Once she was out of Rosalia's sight, she pulled out her phone. Scrolling to the bottom of the report, she tapped the Submit button. As the confirmation appeared on the screen, she let out a relieved sigh. She had already fulfilled her daily obligation in the first period. Now, for the rest of the day, she could truly just be an ordinary student. Only one last thing remained: on the main screen of the app, today's date flashed green, indicating that she had successfully completed her daily goal of distributing one good fortune. However, beneath it, the red numbers of tomorrow's date reminded her that she could never fully relax. With two quick taps, she opened the interface for the next day and started a new random selection.

Claude Holloway—the unfamiliar name popped up instantly. Felicity knew she didn't have to do anything else; by tomorrow morning at the latest, she would find out exactly who her next target was. Still, an uncomfortable feeling crept into her mind—something entirely uncharacteristic of her. She paused for a moment, lost in thought, without realizing where she was—standing in the classroom doorway. A voice suddenly spoke behind her:

"Excuse me, could you move?" a boy's unexpectedly deep voice asked.

"Oh, sorry!" she said, immediately turning around. The boy's black eyes were filled with irritated boredom, which made Felicity uneasy. She couldn't recall the last time she had annoyed someone.

Quickening her pace, she headed to her seat while the students she passed smiled and greeted her. Once she sat down, Esther, the girl in front of her, and Angela, to her left, automatically turned toward her.

"Don't worry, Claude's like that with everyone," Esther said as if she could read Felicity's thoughts.

"Such a shame, though—he's so handsome. But I guess no one can be perfect," Angela whispered, half to them and half to herself, tossing her platinum blonde hair over her shoulder.

Felicity rested her chin on her fist, staring at the boy throughout literature class. It was unusual for her to feel uncomfortable or to find herself in an awkward situation—let alone one where she actually irritated someone. Despite the girls' reassuring words, she didn't feel any better.

Suddenly, the boy turned around abruptly, fixing her with the same annoyed look from beneath his dark curls as he had at the classroom door. They locked eyes for just a moment before the teacher's voice rose sharply.

"Mr. Holloway, I understand that Miss Ashbourne might be more fascinating than Jane Austen, but unfortunately, only the latter's achievements will earn you points on your exam."

Claude's eyes widened, and his face paled as he hunched his shoulders and turned back to the teacher. A ripple of quiet chuckles spread through the class. Felicity, however, felt no sense of victory. She was supposed to grant this boy good fortune tomorrow, yet today, she had already irritated him twice.

For the first time in her life, she felt a flicker of fear about her next day's mission.
