Bella took a deep breath, her eyes clouding over as she began to narrate her story. Jr listened intently, his face set in a determined expression.
"It started in my village in Africa," Bella said, her voice barely above a whisper. "My father had arranged a marriage for me with one of his friends. But I didn't want to get married. I wanted to study and pursue my dreams."
Jr's eyes narrowed, his face darkening with anger. "What kind of community doesn't allow women to study?" he asked, his voice low and menacing.
Bella shook her head. "It's just the way things are in my village. Women are expected to get married and take care of their families. But my mother wanted more for me. She wanted me to have a better life."
Jr's expression softened, his eyes filled with compassion. "What happened next?" he asked, his voice gentle.
