The next morning, Bella woke Jr up and said, "Jr, I wish to go to the forest because I want to harvest some foods."
Jr rubbed his eyes, still sleepy. "But you can get everything here," he said.
Bella shook her head. "Nope, I saw some things there that I cannot get here easily."
Jr thought for a moment before saying, "Okay, we shall go there tomorrow since it's a Saturday."
Bella's face lit up with excitement. "Really? Thank you, Jr!"
Jr smiled and got out of bed. He went to the kitchen and brought out a delicious breakfast spread. There was millet porridge mixed with milk, and some chapati rolled with eggs, commonly known as Rolex in Uganda.
Everyone gathered around the table, eager to taste the delicious food. Lisa asked, "Bella, what's this and how do you make it?"
Bella laughed and old Mrs. Hampton said, "Dear, my child, tell us."
Jr was also eager to know what they were having for breakfast. Bella began to explain, "First, the porridge we are having is millet. You boil water and mix some millet flour in cold water. After making it somewhat thick, you pour it into the boiling water and start stirring so that it shouldn't have small balls in it."
She continued, "Then you pour your boiled milk into it and stir again to mix well. If you want, you can add some peanut paste, blue band, or not."
Everyone was impressed by Bella's cooking skills. "Wow!" they exclaimed in unison.
Bella smiled and explained how to make the chapati. "You get your wheat flour, two cups, put them in a bowl, add some salt, some milk, warm water, and some blue band or oil. Then you knead until it's ready."
She continued, "Then you cover it with a clean towel for 30 minutes, then add some oil and knead again. Prepare your frying pan with little oil, start making chapati, then after, get your eggs, depending on how many you want, but it should be two or three."
Bella explained further, "Beat them, add some salt, tomatoes, onions, and some cabbages, or you may decide not to add cabbage. Stir, then fry your eggs. After, bring your chapati, put it on top, and roll it, or you can put two chapati on each side, then roll it."
Before they knew it, they were already enjoying the Rolex. Alex and Joshua arrived just in time to join in on the delicious breakfast.
"What's all the commotion about?" Alex asked, eyeing the food.
Joshua said, "It looks like we're missing out on something delicious."
Old Mrs. Hampton invited them to join in. "Come and join us, boys."
Bella smiled and said, "Have a seat, I'll bring some for you."
As they sat down to eat, Alex said, "Grandma, you're bad for not saving us some."
Old Mrs. Hampton laughed and said, "Come on, boys, dig in."
The group enjoyed their delicious breakfast together, savoring the flavors and each other's company.
