When Mrs. Hampton the Second arrived at Jr's mansion, she rushed inside and found Bella sitting in the seating room. Bella looked up and saw Mrs. Hampton, her eyes widening in surprise.
Mrs. Hampton stood there, looking at Bella, and Bella stood up, her eyes fixed on Mrs. Hampton's face. "Mrs. Hampton," Bella said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Mrs. Hampton didn't say a word. Instead, she opened her arms and hugged Bella tightly. Bella was taken aback, feeling a mix of emotions. She had feared that Mrs. Hampton might not like her because of her background, and maybe being black, she might want Jr to marry a white woman.
But as Mrs. Hampton held her close, Bella felt a sense of comfort and acceptance. She began to cry, her body shaking with sobs. Mrs. Hampton held her tightly, saying "Cry, dear."
Jr's father stood behind them, his arms in his pockets, watching the scene unfold. As Bella cried louder, Lisa, Bonitah, and Bianca came running down the stairs, curious about the commotion.
When they saw Bella hugging Mrs. Hampton, they ran to her and hugged her from behind, joining in the tears. Hampton the Second felt a pang of pity for the girls, wondering what they had endured during their time in captivity.
As the girls cried, Mrs. Hampton held them close, offering words of comfort. "You're safe now," she said. "You're loved and cared for."
The girls continued to sob, releasing all the emotions they had bottled up. Mrs. Hampton held them, her heart filled with compassion and understanding.
As they cried, Jr's father looked on, feeling a sense of gratitude towards his wife. She had always been a kind and caring person, and now she was showing the girls the love and acceptance they needed.
As the tears began to subside, Mrs. Hampton looked at the girls, her eyes filled with warmth.
