I step back, dumbfounded as I stare at him, and he watches me. Waiting for a reply.
"What did you just say?" I question, giving him a chance to take it back, but he doesn't.
"You heard me," he says instead, and my jaw clench at his accusation.
"You'd rather walk barefoot on burning coal than marry me. You're doing all these things to get out of marriage with me. "He accuses, and I huff as I stare at him.
"You unbelievable…"I begin, but stop. Trying to hold back the annoyance surging in me.
"You really think I'm doing this because of you?" I question, and he says nothing.
"This has nothing to do with you! "I spit in annoyance and he raises a brow as he watches me like I'm something he can't quite understand.
