Chapter 59 - Chapter 59: Great Pirate Norton Sag

Chapter 59: Great Pirate Norton Sag

The storm pressed down, making the surroundings even darker and heavier. For a moment, the crowd seemed to glimpse a vast, dark starry sky, and above that starry expanse floated a ferocious skull. Flames seemed to burn in its eyes as it gazed down upon all living beings from the heavens – truly a celestial disaster...

*Boom!*

Thunder cracked again from the dark sky, tearing through the somewhat darkened port space with a flash of bright light. And in that flicker of light, people finally saw clearly – it was just a giant canvas.

Not some celestial disaster, but a black canvas painted with a starry sky skull. And the main body bearing this black canvas was a colossal black ship, drawing ever closer, already reaching the port!

Upon realizing it was just a black canvas, the crowd inexplicably let out a sigh of relief. But very quickly, that tension returned. The giant black ship crashed through the wreckage of other ships scattered on the sea surface and docked in the port.

In the brief brightness that hadn't yet faded, they saw dark shadows of figures crowding the deck of the giant black ship, seemingly flashing fierce smiles towards them. Beneath the storm, they appeared incomparably terrifying.

Down the gangway stairs, a group of pirates holding weapons descended rapidly, each one glaring fiercely at the Marines and other pirates present.

"I am the invincible Lord Pearl!"

The pirate at the front spread his arms, his expression arrogant and confident, laughing loudly.

*Whoosh!*

Just as his words faded, a figure leaped swiftly down from the ship. The figure's hands were waving something, like a whirring fan, rapidly descending towards the head of the boastful pirate. *(Note: Pearl uses shields/iron balls, not twin swords. The target is Pearl.)*

*Bang!*

A rotating iron ball struck Pearl's head fiercely. The tremendous force sent him flying backward instantly.

Simultaneously, the iron ball in the figure's other hand heavily struck another pirate. The force sent that pirate crashing into about ten pirates behind him, sending them all flying together.

"Don't block Captain Sag's path."

The man twirled his tonfas for a moment, then stood up, shouldering them as he spoke coldly. *(This is Gin)*

Below the stairs, more people rushed down. Unlike the neatly dressed pirates holding weapons, these people were all clad in prison uniforms and unarmed. But each face wore a ferocious expression, their eyes fixed on the people ahead, filled with eagerness for a fight.

Their numbers were vast, quickly occupying more than half the port. They unexpectedly managed to partly encircle the warring Marines and pirates from the opposite direction.

The dozen or so pirate ships already present had disembarked no less than a thousand pirates, and the number of Marines fighting here was even greater. However, the Marines were scattered throughout the various streets of the port, unlike Sag's crew who were gathered together. At first glance, Sag's group didn't seem to outnumber them, but instead appeared to have surrounded them.

And...

Amidst the storm, the Lieutenant Commander subconsciously wiped his forehead. He looked at the prisoner-clad figures, his voice trembling, "The rumors... are true..."

'Iron Wall' Pearl and 'Demon Man' Gin – both were somewhat famous wanted criminals in the East Blue, whom the Lieutenant Commander naturally recognized. But that wasn't the main point.

Before joining the Natural Disaster Pirates, they were merely somewhat famous. But after joining, they became targets of attention because their discovery signified the arrival of the Natural Disaster Pirates.

Especially those guys in prison uniforms.

This matter hadn't been reported in the newspapers; even bounty posters hadn't been updated yet. But as Marines in the East Blue, particularly those stationed in Loguetown near the Grand Line, they had heard whispers.

Sag of the Natural Disaster Pirates had destroyed the massive bridge of the Tequila Wolf kingdom, taking away some of the laborers to serve as pirates. It was said that even Vice Admiral Garp couldn't stop him at the time.

Of course, that was just hearsay; no one could confirm it.

But now, the appearance of this group of prisoners clearly confirmed the rumor.

Prisoners, plus Gin and Pearl...

Natural Disaster... had arrived!

"So many people!"

On the stairs, Renetia, wearing a rain cloak, put a hand to her brow to peer around for a moment, then quickly descended to the port, tutting, "Fighting chaotically on a rainy day like this... the rain can't even wash the mud off you properly! The ground's gotten all dirty, it's disgusting!"

A very hairy pirate raised his sword angrily, "Hey, kid! Who are you calling disgusting?!"

*Bang!*

Renetia whipped out a small tool hammer, twisted the handle, and a tube the size of a baby's arm extended from the hammer's face. It directly shot out sparks, engulfing the pirate in a cloud of black smoke, causing him to fall to the ground, charred.

"Don't talk so casually to this lady! You gorilla-like hairy monster! Next time, shave your whole body and take a swim in the sea to get rid of that body odor!" Renetia bared her teeth.

She was only polite towards Sag and the other two women. For others, it was already good enough that she didn't attack immediately. Towards strangers, she was even more irritable.

When she robbed those shipbuilding materials, she had indeed destroyed half a town...

"Ara, it's quite lively, isn't it?"

Behind her, Marika, wearing a large leather hat to shield herself from the rain, slowly descended the stairs. She smiled as she looked around at the Marines and pirates who had paused their fighting. "We seem to have attracted quite a bit of attention."

"With a storm like this, of course, we'd attract attention. Sag originally wanted to be a bit more low-key, sneak into Loguetown during the rain, rob, and leave. Now look, someone got here before us," Renetia tutted. "Attracting the Marines' attention means more trouble. Why don't they just get struck by lightning, this annoying bunch of Marines, and these stinky pirates!"

"They're also working hard to protect the citizens, you know. You shouldn't talk like that," Marika chuckled softly, patting Renetia's small head through her cloak.

"You..." The Lieutenant Commander didn't recognize these two, but seeing how others automatically made way for them, they seemed to be officers on the ship. He was about to ask a question when he suddenly sensed something else and looked up towards the top of the stairs.

At the vertex connecting the ship's railing and the gangway, a woman stood holding a large, finely crafted umbrella, shielding the person in front of her from the storm. He recognized that woman.

"Bientetta Lily!" the Lieutenant Commander stated grimly.

A bounty of 30,000,000 Beli – on par with the Straw Hat boy who had caused a commotion at the execution platform in Loguetown not long ago. And...

"Hwahahahaha! It really is lively!"

Beneath the umbrella, a man burst out laughing. He slowly descended the stairs. The surrounding laborers automatically parted to either side, creating a large empty space, allowing him to walk into the port, right to the very front.

A white-haired man, adorned with jewels, and that smiling face almost identical to the one on his bounty poster...

"A man like you... what reason do you have for coming to Loguetown...?"

The great sinner who destroyed three... no, adding the Bridge Kingdom, that's four kingdoms. An existence who turns everywhere he goes into ruins, a great disaster amidst the storm.

The Great Pirate, Natural Disaster!

"Norton Sag!" the base Lieutenant Commander roared.
