Chapter 82 - Chapter 82: Pure-hearted Furuta

Yoshimura Eto genuinely found Minami-chan to be quite adorable.

Perhaps, as a ghoul, Minami had a brutal and ruthless side but when Eto had just been interacting with her, she hadn't sensed even a hint of pretense in Minami's behavior.

In other words; this was actually Uruka Minami's true personality. However, as a ghoul trying to survive in this world, she had no choice but to become cruel and merciless.

Now, thanks to receiving support from multiple sources, not only from Uchiha Byakuya and Arima Kishou, but also from "Anteiku," she was finally able to live a normal life like a regular human girl.

From Eto's perspective; Byakuya not only had zero interest in Minami-Chan himself, but had even gone out of his way to set her up with Arima Kishou.

That alone already spoke volumes.

Byakuya was completely exhausted from constantly denying this whole "lolicon" thing.

At this point, he was just too tired to even bother arguing anymore.

[Ding! Host has signed in for 30 consecutive days.]

[Bonus Reward: 20 Attribute Points!]

Without realizing it, Byakuya had already been in this world for a month.

Since the last time he spent a large amount of Attribute Points, he had once again accumulated quite a lot.

[Current Attribute Points: 465]

[Ding! Attribute Allocation Successful!]

[Physicality +10]

[RC Cell Value +300]

[Attribute Points -400]

Byakuya still left some points in reserve, as always.

[Physicality: 60]

[RC Cell Value: 500 (Storage: +850)]

Currently, Byakuya's "Physicality" stat had already reached six times that of a normal human.

And as for the RC cells he had just added-they were automatically transferred into his storage.

"Now, I should be able to use my 'Dual Kamui' a bit more freely..." Byakuya estimated internally.

Just then- he was suddenly pulled out of his thoughts by a voice.

"Byakuya-nii."

It was Furuta Nimura's voice.

That's right. Uchiha Byakuya was currently at the Sunlit Garden.

Of course, he hadn't forgotten about Furuta Nimura and Kamishiro Rize. From time to time, he would still come back to the Sunlit Garden to check on these two.

"Do you have something on your mind?" Furuta Nimura asked, sounding concerned.

"No, not really. I just suddenly remembered something. It's nothing serious." Byakuya replied.

"Ohhh, well, that makes sense, Byakuya-nii is now not only the Branch Chief of the 2nd Ward but also a Special-Class Investigator, plus, you have to follow Kaiko-san's orders, that's gotta be a lot of work."

Furuta Nimura sighed, just thinking about it felt exhausting.

His identity was quite special, so he had access to a lot more information than others.

The secrets he knew far exceeded those of an average half-human child at the Sunlit Garden.

"Well, it's not too bad but honestly, Furuta; with your potential, it's only a matter of time before you end up like me, you better start mentally preparing for it now." Byakuya smiled.

He didn't interact with Furuta Nimura and Kamishiro Rize just for the sake of completing missions.

He genuinely found it quite interesting to talk with these two- especially Furuta.

"Byakuya-nii, you're giving me way too much credit." Furuta scratched his head modestly.

"But I'll do my best to see you as my role model and work hard!"

"Do your best. You've got this." Byakuya encouraged him.

After multiple interactions with Furuta Nimura, he had already noticed- at this stage, Nimura's heart was still relatively pure.

But due to the unfair treatment from the Washuu Clan, little Nimura was desperately eager to prove his worth.

Furuta Nimura's true identity was actually the son of Washuu Clan head, Washuu Tsuneyoshi.

However, because he was born out of wedlock, his low status meant he was not allowed to inherit the "Washuu" name.

He wasn't even allowed to acknowledge Washuu Tsuneyoshi as his father.

Instead, he was cast away to grow up in the Sunlit Garden- this "quarantine zone" for half-humans. He still remembered, in the original story, a similar scene had been shown before.

Back then, Arima Kishou, already a Special-Class Investigator, had been speaking with Bureau Director Washuu Yoshitoki.

And during that time, he had accidentally caught sight of a young Furuta Nimura, still training relentlessly in the Sunlit Garden.

Even at that time, the sheer potential and determination that Furuta displayed had already piqued Arima Kishou's interest.

Now, upon hearing Byakuya-nii's encouragement, Furuta's face instantly brightened up, his face breaking into a joyful smile.

He genuinely admired Byakuya-nii. Not only was he CCG's strongest pillar, he was also Chairman Kaiko's most trusted right-hand man.

If he could become just as strong, then maybe- his father and the rest of the clan would finally acknowledge him!

"So boring... What's wrong with just staying put here?" Kamishiro Rize lay on the grass, her face filled with boredom.

"But..." Furuta hesitated. He wanted to mention that Rize was actually a "Mother"- but he didn't dare to say it. After all, Byakuya-nii was still here.

Even though Byakuya-nii probably already knew about it, if he said it out loud, that would be a completely different matter.

If the Washuu Clan found out that he couldn't keep his mouth shut, they would definitely punish him.

The so-called "Mother" was actually just a "breeding vessel" for the Washuu Clan. The Washuu Clan valued bloodlines above all else.

And the closer a ghoul's bloodline was to that of a pure-blooded human, the higher their status within the clan.

On the other hand- ghouls like Kamishiro Rize, whose bloodline was completely pure, were actually ranked the lowest.

Just like Furuta Nimura, she too was denied the right to bear the "Washuu" name and was thrown into the Sunlit Garden.

But unlike Furuta, Rize had also been designated as a "Mother"- her sole purpose was to bear children for the Washuu Clan.

Put plainly- she was reduced to nothing more than a "breeding machine."

"There's nothing to 'but' about. Just go with the flow, alright? No matter how hard you try, you can't change anything." Rize said casually.

And indeed- just as she had said, no amount of effort on Furuta's part would change anything. Unless, of course- he completely destroyed the Washuu Clan itself.

"As long as you move in the right direction, change is always possible." At that moment, Byakuya spoke up.

"Byakuya-nii is right!" "If you don't even try, then there truly is zero hope!" Furuta nodded firmly, completely agreeing with Byakuya-nii's words.

Rize pouted slightly. "...Whatever you guys say."

But because it was Byakuya who had spoken, she chose to hold her tongue.

After all, this guy had brought her all sorts of things from outside the Sunlit Garden before.

And as the saying goes- "If you accept someone's gifts, you owe them a favor."

She wasn't about to start arguing with him over this.

At that moment, Byakuya glanced at the time, realizing it was about time for him to leave. So, he stood up.

"Byakuya-nii, you're leaving already?" Furuta's voice carried a hint of reluctance.

"Yeah. There's still a lot of stuff to take care of, so I can't stay here too long." Byakuya nodded slightly.

"Alright then.. Furuta, Rize; See you next time."

But just as Byakuya was about to say his goodbyes, a system notification suddenly rang in his mind.
