Hestia led Felis off the main road and into a quieter, winding path. The further they walked, the more the lively energy of the bustling marketplace faded behind them, replaced by a somber stillness. Eventually, they arrived before a crumbling, abandoned church.
To think, this two-story structure was once a place of worship for the gods.
Now? It was little more than a ruin.
Chunks of its walls had caved in, their remains lying in uneven piles along the ground. The air carried a faint scent of old wood and dust, the remnants of a place long forgotten. Above the entrance, a statue of a goddess stood—or what was left of her. Half her face had been eroded away, leaving behind an eerie, cracked smile.
There were no doors. There was barely a roof. Honestly, Felis had seen alleyways that looked more inviting.
"Uh… Hephaestus gave this place to me. Pretty nice, right?"
Hestia's nervous laughter filled the silence as she scratched her cheek.
Felis turned his head, giving the building another once-over.
Nice? This?
Well, at least they wouldn't have to worry about rent. Or burglars. Who in their right mind would break into a place that looked like it might collapse at any moment?
He followed her inside, carefully stepping over broken tiles and patches of grass that had managed to force their way through the cracks in the floor. Sunlight streamed in through the gaping holes in the ceiling, casting fragmented rays upon the altar at the far end.
Hestia led him toward a small door behind the altar. Inside was what must have once been a storage room. Now, it was mostly empty, aside from a shelf pushed against the back wall. With a bit of effort, she slid it aside, revealing a hidden stairwell leading underground.
The stairway wasn't long, and despite its age, the space below was… surprisingly decent.
The underground room was shaped like a 'P'—a small square entrance leading into a longer corridor. Against the walls, two sofas faced each other, old but functional. A bed sat in one corner, looking clean enough to sleep on.
For a goddess living in ruins, she actually kept this place tidy.
"This is where we'll be staying, Felis-kun!" Hestia declared, her enthusiasm returning as she spun around with her arms outstretched. "It's not much, but at least it's home!"
Felis took a seat on one of the sofas, sinking slightly into its worn fabric. Across from him, Hestia fidgeted, her earlier excitement giving way to something more… nervous?
Was she embarrassed?
That was new.
"So, Hestia-sama… You already explained Falna on the way here, and I've agreed to join your Familia. Our situation isn't ideal, but if we work together, I'm sure we can improve our living conditions."
His words were calm and reassuring. Inside, though, his thoughts were drifting elsewhere.
Mainly, to the way Hestia's chest subtly shifted with every fidget.
She was small. Short. But her proportions? Unfair.
Hestia perked up at his words, her uncertainty replaced with determination.
"Ahem. You're right! We'll work on it together! After all, we're Familia now!"
She grinned brightly, her previous embarrassment completely forgotten.
"Alright! Let's get started on your blessing! Take off your shirt and lie down on the bed. I need to apply it to your back."
Felis raised a brow. "Straight to bed already? Shouldn't we at least go on a date first?"
Hestia sputtered. "W-What are you talking about?! Just do it already!"
Chuckling, Felis did as she asked, removing his shirt and lying down.
The moment his skin touched the mattress, a faint scent of something sweet reached his nose. It smelled like… her. Soft and warm, like vanilla mixed with something comforting.
Wait, was he overthinking this? Did gods even sweat? Did they have body odor?
Questions for later.
"Thanks for waiting," Hestia said, climbing onto the bed. "I'll be sitting on you for a bit. Bear with it, okay?"
Sitting on—?
Before he could process that, her weight settled on his lower back.
It wasn't heavy. Not at all. If anything, she felt warm, soft—too soft.
His self-control was tested in ways he wasn't prepared for.
"It's okay, you're very light, Hestia-sama," he said smoothly, keeping his voice steady.
"Oh? That's good to hear! Then, I'll begin!"
Just as Hestia pressed her fingers against his back, a notification window appeared in front of him.

Each job have 5 skills and each skill have 5 level, the first skill gained after opening the job and the rest of it need to be unlocked by leveling up the job level, they can gain the next skill on level 5, 10, 15, 20.
These 8 job is basic job, there is more advanced job but the perquisite to get that job is maximizing the level of the current job and all of it skills after that getting the job from reward.
Basically it's grind your way and pray for luck
Felis's eyes flickered over the options.
Each choice had its own growth bonuses, but since he had already been training with a sword for a month, picking Swordsman was the obvious choice, Cleric maybe sound tempting but for easier progress he think swordsman fit better with his current situation.
But healer is rare in this world... But if he lack power he can't progress much.. In the end, still swordsman huh?
If only mage job is available, unfortunately because he didn't have experienced train in magic the system judges it didn't suit my current condition

Felis's eyes widened slightly.
These growth rates… were ridiculous.
For every point an adventurer would normally gain, he'd get four times the strength. That alone was insane.
Hestia's sudden laughter snapped him out of his thoughts.
"Hahahahaha! Look at this! I'm amazing! Just wait, Hephaestus! I'll show you how incredible I am! You won't be able to call me an incompetent goddess after this! Hahahaha!"
She jumped up and down with excitement. Felis, still lying on the bed, got an unfiltered view of a very, very bouncy goddess.
'Oh. Oh damn.'
Before he could process anything, Hestia lunged forward.
"You're amazing, Felis-kun!"
She tackled him, wrapping her arms around his torso. The sheer force of it sent them rolling onto the bed, her soft frame pressing against his bare chest.
Warm. Small.
And dangerously soft in certain places.
Felis exhaled slowly, keeping his face as neutral as possible. This was a test. A divine challenge of willpower.
Meanwhile, Hestia continued clinging to him, rubbing her cheek against his chest with a happy sigh.
"Finally, my Familia has started! With you by my side, we'll make it to the top!"
Felis allowed a small smirk to creep onto his face as he looked down at her.
His new job function, his overpowered growth rate, and now this little goddess who had thrown herself at him without a second thought…
Yeah.
Life was very, very good.
