Chapter 27 - The Untouchable

Theron's POV

The moment she entered the room, I felt it.. her aura challenged mine. I hated it.I hate people who challenge me. But even without doing a thing, she made me feel like I was in competition.

I've seen women who leech off men, for money, love, even protection. Most of them rely on men for everything. I've seen enough. I'm sick of it.

That's why I stopped dating eight years ago. I don't care about fucking around. There are countless women who'd drop their clothes the second they realize how rich I am. But the aftermath that's what disgusts me. They want more. They want power. Money. They start their petty schemes to seduce me. I'm tired of that game.

But she..... she stood there like a war goddess.Untouchable. Unapproachable. Every word from her mouth felt like a slap.

She goes for the kill with every move. She even dared to call me an "incompetent jerk." How dare she?

Before I could even react, that idiot Isabella lunged at her.Bitch!

I hate Aurora. Her aura. Her arrogance. Her sharp tongue. But deep down, I know why I really hate her because she's like me.

And before I could process that,

SLAP—Thud—

All this chaos because of the useless woman now lying on the floor like she's dead.

Aurora moved like lightning. No one even saw it coming.

I rested my left hand against my lips with two fingers crossed, pretending to be unaffected. But inside?

Amused.

Interesting.I smirked.

I was beyond angry. Words couldn't begin to explain it.I wanted to erase the entire Wilson family from this planet.

Then Aurora spoke she gave Isabella another chance.Another chance? A woman like her cold, calculated, ruthless, showing mercy? That caught me off guard. Then she said it:"I'm sure Mr. Drakos knows what a second chance means... pity he doesn't give them."My eyes narrowed. She dug into my past. She knew.I smirked again, but my thoughts turned darker. Was she implying the deal was already dead, tossed in the trash like it never mattered? If that's what she meant... I swear, I'll end Isabella with my own hands.

I hate how things spiraled. Isabella went behind my back, destroyed the deal, and even managed to blame Adkins. It was meticulously planned.

Still, I waited. I wanted to see how Aurora would prove her innocence.

The first video played—Aurora warning Isabella.

This idiot actually dared to provoke her? Even after knowing she was untouchable?

"Even if that's true, you had no right to cancel a signed agreement—"Before the sentence even ended, Aurora cut me off:"Restlessness is not good for your health."

Knife-edged words. She always carries a blade in her tone.

Then came the second video. It showed a man entering Aurora's office, sitting at her desk, typing the cancellation email, and sending it.The timestamp was perfect.

He then made a call."Ms. Wilson, I've done what you asked. Don't forget to transfer the agreed amount."

WHAT—

I thought this woman was just a thief—stealing a proposal. But now? She orchestrated everything. Every move to bury Adkins.

Then I heard a thud.Mr. Wilson fainted.

This bastard—wait.Didn't Aurora just say Mr. Wilson knows the reason? What the hell was going on here?

This was a huge mistake. I assumed she stole the proposal and will get caught in the middle. But she wasn't incompetent.. she was ten steps ahead in scheming.

And as if that wasn't enough, now she'd come face-to-face with an Alpha like Aurora.Just wait, Isabella.

Isabella stuttered, "How did you—?"

Aurora's gaze flicked to me."I can also show the entire room who guided you from the shadows."

What? She knew? Was it Damian? Samuel? One of their sons?Who the hell was behind this?

Then she walked toward me, placed two files on the table, and said:

"There are things you'll need from me again. But I won't involve myself in your company's internal messes. Not unless you make it my problem."

She didn't expose anything. She didn't scream or cry.She just stood tall, clean, calm, and commanding.

She devoured everyone here. No exceptions. Including me.

She knew what Isabella would do, and waited for the perfect moment to strike.

She could've sent a legal notice... but no. She came in person. And retaliated like a queen.

As she turned to leave, she dropped one final bomb:

"I always had a feeling the structure… the style… resembled Mr. Brown's work. Quite the coincidence, huh?"

I Knew it, but it wasn't surprising that she knew. She knew it was Jason's proposal. She even expected us to swap the project lead mid-way.

The look she gave me after that said everything:You were waiting to see me fail. You had no idea what I was capable of. How naïve.It disgusted me.

I looked at Jason.. he was stunned. His eyes gleamed like he'd just found treasure.

He'd fallen for her.Good for him.

I hated her anyway, right? But… something about his gaze toward her irritated me.

Then I looked down at the woman still on the floor, like she'd descended into hell.

I turned to John. But he avoided my gaze, standing like some mannequin in a storefront.

"JOHN!" I roared.

He jumped, terrified.

"Take these two to a private room. No one is to contact them. Confiscate all electronics. Phones, laptops, everything. Anyone associated with them same protocol."

"I want this investigation completed immediately. No more mistakes."

As I turned to leave, someone grabbed my leg.

Disgusted, I looked down.

Isabella.

"Mr. Drakos, this isn't me! Everything here is forged! Please, this is all a mistake—"

I raised an eyebrow. My voice was colder than ice.

"What are you saying? That someone forged your insults, your phone call, and even the proposal?"

She stammered, "Th… that—"

"Isabella." I crouched just slightly, my voice still a whisper of rage."What I'm about to do to your family… will be a lesson for everyone watching. A reminder never to cross me. You… your family… your people will regret every moment of breathing."

Thud—She released my leg and collapsed.

Of course, not just hers her entire family's world is ending.

I smirked.

And walked out.
