Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

Havana mentally prepared herself for the next day. She memorized all Melanie's likes and dislikes as she couldn't afford to make any mistakes. She waited at the bottom of the stairs as Melanie descended. For some reason she was not aware of, the elevator in the parlour was never used by anyone except Mr Marcelo. As Melanie descended everyone could say they saw Melanie as ,you know, Melanie but Havana saw a devil's incarnate wearing a large smirk as it made it's way to her.

"Let's go" Melanie said. With her hair packed into two buns, she looked very cute and harmless but her outfit screamed 'BACK OFF'. She wore a black top, black leggings and boots with a black skirt and fluffy red jacket. Standing beside Melanie was Havana dressed in a V- neck floral pink gown, she looked out of place. "What are you wearing we are going to a grave yard!" Melanie asked Havana. "I don't have anything black, I don't have any cloth at all someone just borrowed me this one". Havana said. Melanie didn't talk further as they exited the house.

Havana couldn't help but wonder why a girl of 8 years old would be going to a grave yard. Melanie also didn't go to school and she had no personal tutor. She wanted to ask a lot of questions but she didn't dare to do so. With the attitude Melanie was giving Havana was sure that a question would earn her a spot in the grave yard.

"I'm on a mission. I just need an 'adult' before I can gain access into the grave yard". Melanie explained as if she had heard Havana's thought.

Havana nodded awkwardly at Melanie's words and the rest of the ride was quiet. By the time they had reached the graveyard it was almost noon. Havana and Melanie walked in, they met the caretaker who asked them a few questions and after it was confirmed that the dead person they came to see was buried there, the caretaker left them to find their way. As Havana walked alongside Melanie she noticed that the graveyard wasn't an ordinary one. It was extremely quiet and the only person they encountered was the caretaker, the weather was windy and it seemed like rain would fall very soon. Havana felt like she had walked straight into a horror movie, it was remaining the screams. Havana looked down at Melanie whose temperament fit with the environment and just as Havana felt earlier while standing with Melanie, she felt out of place.

"I'll be quick with this while you wait here and watch. Oh! Here, you know how to use it right?" Melanie said as they stopped in front of a tombstone with the name Jack Robinson written on it and nothing else….creepy! Melanie handed Havana a gun while talking and asked her a question. Havana shook her head slowly and Melanie showed her how to use it.

"Just position your gun and pull the trigger" Melanie instructed, took a shovel and started digging the grave. 'Has this world gone mad?' Havana thought within herself. An 8 year old girl just taught her how to use a gun…a gun! And now the girl was digging up a grave. 'But this should be normal as the girl was part of a mafia gang…right?' Havana asked herself. As Havana looked around she couldn't help but notice that they were in a very dark environment. She wondered a 'what-if' scenario that all the dead bodies would rise from their graves and start attacking them for disturbing their peace. Havana shuddered at such thought and continued scanning the place that's when she saw a figure walking in a zombie style towards them. Havana started to panic, the grave was very deep and Melanie was in the hole. Wait, she had a gun…all she had to do was shoot. 'Just position your gun and pull the trigger' Havana reminded herself and with lots of inward motivation, she shot. The shot boomed and as luck would have it she actually shot the figure and it fell to the ground.

"What was that? I'm done digging you can pull me up now" Melanie announced from the hole. Havana smiled at herself as she pulled Melanie up. She had nailed her first shot….wait, oh no! She had killed someone. If the cops catch her she could go to jail.

"What happened?" Melanie asked

"I think i killed someone" Havana whispered as she gave the gun back to Melanie. "You killed someone?" Melanie repeated, shocked. She wasn't just shocked that Havana killed someone but at the fact that someone was there with them. Only the members of The Sovereign Order knew about the location of Jack Robinson's grave. Melanie opened the casket and quickly removed the weapons inside. "I think we are being followed" Melanie said, "Come let's see wo you killed". Havana trembled at each step she took and when she got to where the body collapsed she gasped, "I killed the caretaker!"

Melanie's face on the other hand turned pale. "Quickly!" she said "Help me put the body in the casket".

"I-I can't touch a dead body" Havana protested

"You wanna replace it?" Melanie questioned. Havan got to work immediately and helped her bury the dead body.

"Take this...run and don't look back" Melanie handed Havana a gun and instructed twice. Havana didn't need to be told twice. She ran the fastest in life. She had just reached the iff and started contemplating on whether to jump when she heard gunshots. Melanie screamed from behind her "Jump! Jump off the cliff"
