Naruto just wanted to step forward to help, but was blocked by the boa constrictor summoned by Orochimaru.
The massive snake opened its mouth wide and roared. The stench from its gaping maw hit Naruto like a slap to the face.
"You grew up eating shit."
Naruto gagged, covered his mouth and nose, and rocketed backward like a man escaping a public restroom after taco night.
Only after he was out of the yellow gas range did he breathe in fresh, non-snake-mouth air.
Among the 20 clones, two were busy protecting Sakura from a distance, but the other eighteen had already climbed the surrounding trees, waiting to launch their attack.
The big snake slithered forward aggressively, eyes locked on Naruto.
Suddenly, all eighteen clones leapt from the branches, each one holding a glowing blue sphere of chakra in their palm—charging straight for the snake's oversized head.
"Ssshhhaa~"
The boa flicked its tongue, then opened its mouth and spewed out a massive spray of corrosive green acid.
The airborne clones couldn't dodge in midair. One by one, they were splashed with acid, their bodies sizzled, bubbled, and then—
Pop!Poof!Boom!
Clouds of white smoke erupted as the clones vanished, leaving the giant snake untouched.
"Man, this thing's tougher than I thought."
Naruto rubbed his nose, frowning. "Time to try something new."
His eyes shifted to Sasuke—although his attacks were flashy, Orochimaru was still casually swatting him around like a cat toying with a mouse. Sasuke had blood trickling down his arm, and his footing was getting sloppy.
Naruto knew he couldn't stall anymore. If this kept up, Sasuke might really be in danger.
He wasn't sure he could beat Orochimaru… but saving Sasuke? That was non-negotiable.
Naruto's fingers blurred as he formed hand signs.
With the final seal, a flash of lightning surged through the forest.
Sparks crackled, twisting together to form a massive thunder dragon—head, body, and tail all formed from pure chakra.
The dragon's red eyes blazed.
"Thunder Style: Thunder Dragon!!"
The electric beast let out a roar that sent birds fleeing from the treetops. Then it twisted in midair and shot toward the boa constrictor.
The snake's pupils shrank. Fear flickered across its scaly face, but its body was too big to dodge.
It swung its massive tail in desperation, trying to smack the thunder dragon out of the sky.
BOOM!
The two giants collided—but the boa never stood a chance. The current ripped through it, and with a thunderous detonation, its body burst like an overripe fruit.
Chunks of rotten meat flew everywhere, and blood mist rained down like a gore-filled snowstorm.
What remained of the snake's body—just a twitching spine and shredded bits—flopped on the ground for a few seconds before vanishing in a puff of white smoke.
Sasuke and Orochimaru, who had been locked in battle, both froze and looked over.
Sasuke gawked at Naruto like he'd just turned into a lightning god.
"Naruto… how strong are you?!"
Orochimaru's long tongue flicked out, licking her lips with interest. "This kid... he's fascinating."
If he weren't the Nine-Tails' Jinchuriki, Orochimaru would've tried to take his body right then and there. But she didn't want to share headspace with Kurama. Ew.
"Sasuke, fall back. You can't win this one."
"Take Sakura and find a safe place. I'll handle this."
Naruto's voice was calm but firm.
Sasuke shook his head. "No. He's here for me. I can't let you get hurt because of me."
Orochimaru chuckled darkly. "Ah, the loyalty of comrades… how quaint. Reminds me of old times."
Naruto groaned. "Sasuke. You wouldn't last two exchanges. Just go already."
And then—
"Shadow Clone Jutsu!!"
In a single breath, a storm of Narutos flooded the area.
2000 identical blondes appeared, filling the trees, the ground, even the air.
Orochimaru blinked. "Nani?!"
She'd expected maybe fifty… a hundred at most. But this was a blonde infestation.
"Hey!! Snake lady!" Naruto shouted. "You ready for my ultimate move?!"
"WELCOME TO THE RASENGAN BUFFET—ALL YOU CAN GET IS SMACKED!!"
"2000 Rasengan Barrage!!"
The entire battalion shouted in sync. All 2000 clones raised their palms.
Whirling blue spheres ignited like stars across the battlefield—2000 Rasengans charged and spinning, humming with destructive power.
"Rasengan!!""Rasengan!!""Rasengan!!"
A Naruto tsunami surged toward Orochimaru.
Orochimaru's face went from amused to "oh shit" in record time.
Quickly, she formed hand signs and took a deep breath.
"Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!!"
Spinning midair like a goth ballerina, she released a flurry of sharp wind blades.
Bang!Boom!Poof!
Dozens of clones were obliterated in the blast, vanishing into smoke.
But there were still so many more.
Orochimaru leapt from tree to tree, using fists, kicks, and summoned snakes to destroy as many as she could—but it was like trying to mop the ocean with a toothbrush.
The battlefield became a swirling chaos of clones, Rasengans smashing trees, Rasengans slamming the ground, clones tripping over other clones, one poor clone flying into a tree with a "Waaaah!!" like a Looney Tune.
Orochimaru deflected one Rasengan—
Only to be hit from behind by another.
She hissed, tumbling through the air.
"This brat is insane…"
The forest was no longer a battlefield. It was a Rasengan rave.
