Chapter 4 - Mysterious message

The weekend had passed, the bluemoon was now only a memory and classes had resumed. Jimin sneaked through the corridors of the academy, surrounded by his friends, Donghun and Sora. That morning, the sunlight was brighter than usual. He illuminated the smiling faces. They laughed at Donghun's wacky jokes.

Their voices echoed in the morning fear. She was dressed in the uniform, quiet street, a pleated skirt. She wore, just above her knees, an impeccable white shirt, and a red tie that added a touch of color. His jacket was fitted, perfectly highlighting his slender figure. Shiny nut shoes on the well-maintained floor of the academy. She knew she could attract attention, but she preferred to focus on her studies. For her, there was nothing else that mattered.

In the canteen, they all settled around a table, Jimin, Donghun, and Sora. The sound of the cutlery clashed and the lively conversation created a friendly atmosphere. She had opted for a bibimbap, a colorful mixture of vegetables, rice, and false dishes. Listening to her friends talk about rumors about mysterious suicides at school, she couldn't help but be interested. Jimin has always had a detective soul in her. She loves to solve the little mysteries of her house. Find out who ate the last chocolate bar, and who ate this cake bar. She did everything like that.

—Have you heard about the new student in the upper class?

It was Sora who asked by looking up from her tray.

—It is said that she got a scholarship thanks to her incredible grades.

Jimin had a rather sad smile for the latter, the more are never well treated in this academy. There are only children whose parents financed schooling out of their pockets with an exorbitant sum that was well treated.

—There would have been a new suicide. He is in class A3.

This conversation, Jimin began to find it more and more interesting. A suicide. A new murder. Interesting. She was in this school for a very specific reason. And she intended to carry out her mission.

The afternoon was well advanced and the sun began to decline, casting long disturbing shadows in the school corridors. Members of the student office were gathered in the room for a meeting to organize the next school tournament. The atmosphere was light, everyone playing their usual role, masking their true intentions behind their smiles and benevolent words

Suddenly, the silence was broken by a series of notifications on their phones, each checking their device, their expressions going from curiosity to perplexity, then to anxiety. Jisoo, the president was the first to speak, her voice betraying a slight nervousness.

—Did you all get this?

The others nodded, their eyes riveted on the screen of their phones. The message was identical for each of them, sent by an unknown number: "Rejoin me at the library tonight. If you don't want us to discover your secret. Anonymous."

Minho frowned, quickly analyzing the trouble.

—It must be a joke, right? Who would send such a dramatic message?

Eunji, usually calm and rational, could not hide a glimmer of concern in her eyes.

—It's not necessarily a joke, it must be another one of the first-year idiots who have nothing better to do

Jihye, observed the reaction of his comrades carefully, looking for clues in their expressions. She whispered:

—What is this secret about, I have nothing to hide.

Shit I hope that's what I think

Eunji—If you have nothing to hide, then why are you panicking so much?

—Anything, I don't panic!

!Oh fuck! Girls have a headache!

—Maybe it's related to the series of suicides in the icon. Honestly, I doubt it's just suicide.

Jisoo trying to stay calm so as not to alienate Jihye.

She's really stupid. We are threatened and she talks about suicide.

—Are you stupid or are you doing it on express, Jihye? This fucking person is threatening us.

She had spoken these words to you while slowly approaching Jihye to the point of being able to feel her breath.

She looked him straight in the eyes.

—I hope you understand the situation. Where should I repeat myself? Stupid go!

Daehyun was calmer than the others. He intervenes with sarcasm.

—Calm down, please. And you, Jihye, don't be naive. I'm sure it has nothing to do with suicides. It's a stupid plan to scare us. We may find ourselves locked in the library with rats or something like that. And I already told you that there was nothing strange about suicide. They are just people who can't stand the pressure.

Jisoo spoke as the leader she was.

—We should all calm down for a moment. And try to know what secret this person is talking about. What does he have against us?

Jihye intervenes again.

—Against us, say rather against you. Because I have nothing to blame myself for.

She said this about the defense while doubting her words herself.

Minho ends up intervening. He who had remained silent since the start.

Can you shut up for 5 seconds? We understood that you were a saint and that you had nothing to reproach yourself for. When we demons talk. Shut up. Well, what are we doing?

He who had stayed there watching everyone. He understood that everyone had a secret. Even if the Saint did not want to admit it. You just had to see the faces of others when they received this message. By the expressions, we could read panic and anxiety. Everyone had a secret to protect.

This while Jisoo took matters into his own hands trying to regain his usual calm and authority

—I want to go see who is this fool who has the nerve to threaten me, Park Ji Soo. And you, if you want, go to the library tonight.

—Already me, I don't want to come, I have my series to watch and in addition, we have homework to finish. Answered eunji

—Do you want to play this, Eunji? You are sure of yourself.

In a threatening but calm tone, Eunji had understood you had the warning, or rather the threat without concealment of Minho.

Piss off.

The students remained silent, each trying as hard as they could not to give in to panic, to think of the worst.

—Come on, it could be fun like in the movies, imagine that we discover a corpse.

Jihye who did not know how to shut up and who was always off topic.

—It's certain that this movie will be a horror movie and you'll be the first to get killed. Given how stupid you are.

Jisoo spoke decisively again and declared:

—Very well let's go, and Daehyun stop being so negative, and Eunji, you come with us

—Anyway, I don't have a choice. Not a real Minho.

The latter ignored him

—See you later for things to do.

They didn't even have time to answer that Minho had already left.

—You know, Jisoo, are you sure you're the president? Because Minho...

Eunji had still made Eunji. Provoke Jisoo, before turning his back on him as if nothing had happened. She had let Jisoo plant the green of rage on the verge of committing a murder.

Afternoon classes passed quickly, but his mind remained alert. Jimin couldn't wait to meet at the library after class, a place that has always been his sanctuary. When the last class ended, she rushed to the library, eager to dive into her research.

As she entered, she felt a strange sensation, as if a presence was watching her. But quickly swept away this thought. Once at her usual table, a book in hand, she began her reading. But while she was focused on her notes, she thought she saw a silhouette in the shadow of the shelves. The library was strangely silent, and a shiver ran through his back.

Ignoring this discomfort, she plunged back into her research, determined to discover the secrets of the Gyeong-Su Academy. But curiosity has a price, and that evening, she did not know how much her determination would lead her to horror.
