Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2

The Weight of Time and Power

Uzumaki Naruto entered the Ninja Academy at the age of six, graduated as a Genin at twelve, and by the time he was nineteen, he played a pivotal role in the Fourth Great Ninja War.

Ye Dou was the same age as him—five years old. That meant he had only one year before enrolling in the academy.

But if he couldn't obtain the Chakra Fruit, he would only have fourteen years left to live.

Fourteen years might seem like a long time, but from an adult's perspective, it was just a fleeting moment. Especially when he considered the sheer power of figures like Madara Uchiha and Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki—legends who had spent decades honing their strength.

How could he possibly catch up to them in just fourteen years?

By bloodline alone, he was far below them.

But that didn't mean he had no chance.

---

Training Under Gravity

"Let's begin. Starting with 0.1 times gravity."

Arriving at his usual training ground, Ye Dou exhaled deeply before delivering a precise kick to the wooden training post.

His movements were slow—not from fatigue, but because his entire body was under constant gravitational pressure, set at the highest level he could currently endure.

The Devil Fruit he had obtained from the Equivalent Exchange Space was one of immense power:

The Zushi Zushi no Mi—the Gravity Fruit.

This Paramecia-type fruit was once wielded by Admiral Fujitora (Issho), a man who had joined the World Government's ranks after the Marineford War, following Akainu's ascension to Fleet Admiral and Aokiji's resignation.

There was no need to explain just how strong this fruit was.

The ability to summon meteors from space made its destructive potential equivalent to a nuclear warhead.

Looking at it from this perspective, it closely resembled Madara Uchiha's Tengai Shinsei, the technique he used to drop two colossal meteorites onto the Shinobi Alliance.

But the Gravity Fruit's abilities extended beyond destruction.

By manipulating gravitational forces, the user could control objects at will, altering their weight and trajectory. The objects could be anything—people, boulders, weapons, even something as insignificant as a kunai. As long as the user's strength was sufficient, anything within the earth's gravitational field could become a weapon.

Defensively, the fruit was just as formidable.

By generating gravitational waves, the user could create a repelling force against incoming attacks, effectively deflecting them. And unlike most defensive techniques, this ability wasn't limited to physical objects—it could also reflect energy-based attacks, as demonstrated when Fujitora deflected Sabo's flames.

It was a Devil Fruit with overwhelming versatility.

But perhaps most importantly, it gave Ye Dou a unique training advantage.

---

Gravity Training: A New Approach to Taijutsu

In the world of Naruto, elite taijutsu users like Might Guy and Rock Lee relied on traditional weight training. Since advanced gravity chambers didn't exist, they had to push their bodies to the limit using weighted clothing, ankle weights, and sheer force of will.

But Ye Dou was different.

With the Gravity Fruit, he could train under customizable gravitational conditions, making his body adapt to extreme physical stress far more efficiently than any conventional method.

To some extent, the Zushi Zushi no Mi was the perfect fruit for him.

He understood the power hierarchy in Naruto. Without an Ōtsutsuki bloodline or access to Six Paths chakra, he would never survive.

But Might Guy had already proven that pure taijutsu could be pushed to such an extreme that it rivaled even the power of the Six Paths.

If he wanted to live—if he wanted to reach a level where he wasn't constantly at the mercy of others—he needed to master his body first.

Additionally, his training in Rokushiki, the Six Powers martial arts style, demanded a strong physical foundation.

But for now, he could only endure 0.1 times gravity—anything higher would cause more harm than good.

---

Breaking Limits

"One… two… three… forty… fifty… fifty-one…"

Within minutes, sweat drenched Ye Dou's entire body, exhaustion weighing down on him like chains.

A sharp, burning pain spread through his ankles—soreness, swelling, the telltale signs of overexertion creeping up his legs.

But he didn't stop.

He clenched his teeth and pushed forward.

The One Piece world's training system was vastly different from Naruto's.

Where shinobi refined their chakra and focused on internal energy flow, pirates relied on breaking their physical limits through sheer force of will.

And now, Ye Dou found himself somewhere in between.

---

Naruto System or One Piece System?

Ever since consuming the Gravity Fruit, something had changed within him.

Gravity had become his Bloodline Limit.

Unlike Fujitora, who could activate his powers at will, Ye Dou needed to channel his abilities through chakra, integrating them into the Naruto world's natural energy system.

According to the mongoose, this was his way of "merging with the world's laws."

Because of this adaptation, he had escaped the traditional Devil Fruit curse—the inability to swim.

It was a necessary trade-off.

Otherwise, he would have been severely disadvantaged against Water Release ninjutsu or in aquatic battles.

But this transformation went beyond abilities—it extended to his physiology.

As his body strengthened, his cells became more active, allowing him to store and generate more chakra than the average shinobi.

If he had to compare, his body was still human like the residents of this world… but at the genetic level, the Devil Fruit had rewritten his DNA.

---

"Huff… huff… huff…"

His breath came in ragged gasps as he continued training. His tattered black robe clung to his sweat-soaked skin, moisture dripping from his face like rainfall.

Finally, when his body reached its absolute limit—when his limbs trembled and his vision blurred—he switched exercises.

He dropped to the ground and began push-ups.

For now, mastering Rokushiki and swordsmanship could wait.

First, he needed to build his foundation.

Like constructing a skyscraper, a weak base would lead to collapse. His body was the core of everything—without it, all his efforts would be meaningless.

---

The Path Forward

He had no idea how much time had passed, but by the time he finished, the sun had set. The once-bright sky had darkened, the forest now bathed in the soft glow of fireflies.

It was beautiful.

But he had no time to admire it.

He could not afford to be weak.

The Fourth Great Ninja War would be the bloodiest battle in history.

Even Kage-level shinobi had struggled to survive.

He had no illusions—without overwhelming strength, he would die.

After a short rest, he crossed his legs and began to refine his chakra.

Because in the end, the best time to refine chakra… is when the body is utterly exhausted.
