Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: Code Name

Upon hearing this, Tang San, Xiao Wu, and the others were all taken aback. They never expected that the seemingly gentle little girl would say such words.

Even Gu Yue Na was somewhat surprised, looking at Ning Rongrong.

Flander didn't get angry because of her words. He smiled slightly and said, "That's right, I am just a humble Soul Saint. But even now, you are still far, far from me. No matter how talented you are as the most gifted disciple of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School, you are still just a Great Soul Master. There is an insurmountable gap between us. If you look down on this place, then please leave. Shrek Academy doesn't welcome students like you who don't follow the rules."

Ning Rongrong sneered, "Want to drive me away? It's not that easy. Since I've come, I didn't plan on leaving anytime soon. Flander, I advise you to mind your own business. Otherwise, the consequences are something you won't be able to bear."

Flander calmly smiled, "If I were afraid of the consequences, there wouldn't be this academy. This is my turf, and I call the shots. Mu Bai."

"Headmaster." Dai Mubai stepped forward. His gaze towards Ning Rongrong was still filled with disbelief. He vaguely understood that this was Ning Rongrong's true nature, but yesterday, she had hidden it so well.

Flander said, "Go take Ning Rongrong's belongings from her room and escort her out of here. If she resists, you are allowed to use any means necessary."

"Ning Rongrong, you dare!" Ning Rongrong shouted, her hands on her hips. This twelve-year-old girl exuded an extremely fierce aura. "I've grown up like this, and you're the first one who dares treat me this way."

With the letter of protection from the Ning Clan's patriarch, Flander was completely unafraid. He retorted, "Just because your father is reluctant to discipline you doesn't mean I have to be. You are neither my daughter nor my precious one. In my eyes, every other student here is stronger than you. The Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Martial Soul is indeed one of the most powerful auxiliary-type martial souls, but unfortunately, you only bring shame to it."

Hearing this, Gu Chen shook his head and decided not to listen any longer.

A teacher who only bullies the weak and fears the strong—what kind of students could such a person possibly teach? If it weren't for Tang San being present, they might have died in the hands of Canghui Academy in the All-Continent Advanced Soul Master Tournament.

His plan to leave should be brought up soon.

After Flander managed to make Ning Rongrong cry, he led everyone to the Grand Soul Arena.

Upon seeing the Grand Soul Arena, Dai Mubai's expression changed, and he whispered, "Headmaster, are we really going to send them there on the first day?"

Flander simply replied, "Remember, you are monsters, not ordinary people. Since you are monsters, you should have the training methods of monsters."

He paused, then said in a deep voice, "Each of your martial souls is unique, and each of you has your own cultivation methods. What the academy can teach you is how to better utilize your martial souls, helping you gain better soul rings, more combat experience, and unlock your full potential. What you need to learn most from all of this is practical combat experience."

"Given the same level and strength, how much combat experience one has will determine the key to victory. Only through constant combat can you improve your ability to respond to changes in battle. So, your first lesson is combat. And that place will be your classroom."

Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun exchanged glances. Ma Hongjun didn't dare speak, but Dai Mubai's eyes revealed helplessness. They clearly understood what kind of place that was. Meanwhile, Tang San, Xiao Wu, and Zhu Zhuqing all showed expressions of confusion.

Flander continued, "Such buildings only exist in cities of the main cities' level. Their scale is a symbol of whether a city or even a nation is powerful. This type of building is called the Grand Soul Arena. And the one you see in front of you is called the Soto Grand Soul Arena."

"The so-called Grand Soul Arena is a place where soul masters fight. Whether it's in the Heaven Dou Empire or the Star Luo Empire, there is a saying that the Grand Soul Arena determines the rise and fall of a country."

After introducing the Grand Soul Arena, Flander gave everyone a motivational speech and then issued an order, "The task I give you is to obtain the Silver Soul Badge before graduation. Understand?"

"Don't think that getting a Silver Soul Badge is easy. Mu Bai and Hongjun have already participated in practical combat here for over a year. Mu Bai, tell them about the requirements for badge level promotion here, and also your battle records."

After Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun spoke about their battle records, the group made their way to the Soto Grand Soul Arena.

As they got closer, the shock from the Grand Soul Arena became even more overwhelming. When Tang San and Xiao Wu first arrived in Soto City, they hadn't visited this part of the city, so they hadn't noticed such a grand building.

It was only when Gu Chen and Gu Yue Na were strolling around Soto City in the morning that they passed by the Grand Soul Arena and realized its existence.

The Soto Grand Soul Arena was an elliptical structure, 120 meters tall, with a main arena and twenty-four sub-arenas. It could hold up to 60,000 spectators, including one hundred VIP boxes. This was not only a place for soul masters to compete but also a place for various forces to show off their strength.

As they walked towards the Soto Grand Soul Arena, Flander briefly explained the remaining details of the arena to Tang San and the others.

Here, the types of soul battles were divided into three categories: one was sparring, where fighting was allowed but not to the death. The second was life-and-death battles, used to settle irreconcilable disputes. The third was betting battles. The Grand Soul Arena served as a referee, and the two sides in a betting battle would send out the same number of soul masters for a match, with the winning side claiming the bet.

As for the format of the battles, there were three types: one-on-one, two-on-two, and group battles. For group battles, the number of participants was typically between seven and ten, depending on the regulations of the Grand Soul Arena.

Entering the Grand Soul Arena, the first thing that caught their eye was a huge stone tablet with countless names engraved on it. Flander explained that these were the names of those who had died in the soul battles.

Gu Chen and the others completed their registration, but neither Gu Chen nor Gu Yue Na used their real names. Gu Chen registered as the Golden Dragon God, and Gu Yue Na, on his strong suggestion, registered as the Silver Dragon God.

"Let's register as a two-on-two team first. After the one-on-one match ends, we'll meet here and participate in a two-on-two battle," Gu Chen said to Gu Yue Na.

Gu Yue Na nodded, and they joined the queue to register.

In front of them were Tang San and Xiao Wu.

"Registration fee is ten gold coins. After winning a match, you will receive ten gold coins in total," the staff member said coldly as she collected the fees from Tang San and Xiao Wu. Since they had already registered by level, they just needed to show their Iron Soul Badge and didn't need to fill anything out.

"Please give your team a name."

Tang San thought for a moment and said, "Let's call it the Three-Wu Team." He combined his and Xiao Wu's names, as it didn't really matter.

"Okay, the Three-Wu Team is registered."

Tang San and Xiao Wu's Iron Soul Badges now had the words "Three-Wu Team" engraved on them, but the word "Wu" was mistakenly engraved as "Five."

"Hey, that's wrong! It should be 'Wu,' not 'Five,'" Xiao Wu complained.

The staff member replied coldly, "You didn't clarify. If you want to change the team name, you'll have to re-register your Iron Soul Badge, and all your battle records will be erased."

As Xiao Wu was about to explode, Dai Mubai's voice suddenly came, "Xiao Wu, your one-on-one battle is starting. Hurry over."

Tang San patted Xiao Wu on the shoulder and said, "Forget it. The Three-Wu Team is fine. It's just a name."

Xiao Wu made a face at the staff member before running toward the one-on-one battle area.

"Registration fee is ten gold coins. After winning a match, you will receive ten gold coins," the staff member said to Gu Chen and Gu Yue Na.

Gu Chen took out a bag containing gold soul coins, counted out ten, and handed them over.

"Please give your team a name."

"Let's call it…" Gu Chen said confidently, "Golden-Silver Dragon Gods!"
